i play that course often. And I know some people really get worked up on the 18th hole. It is a reachable par 5. In fact, I usually go for it in two because a good drive usually leaves only about 150-170 yards. So it almost always backs up on the 18th hole. 

But come on guys! A fight at the last hole?  I don't know all the facts but maybe the group in front was slow all day?

That's hilarious/awful. . I watched it twice, lol. 

The guy in the blue shirt definitely landed a solid blow on the guy in the red shirt - after that red shirt's legs get wobbly.  Then they shake hands!

Sadly, not even the worst thing to happen on a Denver-area course over the past weekend: http://kdvr.com/2016/07/31/lakewood-police-investigating-shooting-at-golf-course/

Anyways, hitting into someone on the green on this hole is definitely done on purpose. The green is a peninsula green, and you have to carry water to get the ball there. So it's not like you can catch a 3 wood perfectly and claim you didn't think you could get it there. You're either laying up short of the water or going for the green.

Wow!  I played there on Saturday, a day before that shooting!  I would have played again on Sunday, but I had a business trip that prevented me from playing.  Maybe good thing I didn't show up to play there on Sunday.

That's a funny video. I have seen a couple of matches like that while golfing.

That is good stuff. I always love it when the initial tough guy comes out all badass, gets hit in the face and then all of a sudden doesn't want to fight anymore. Hilarious!  I agree with author, if going to do all that, and be the assailant go for the double leg takedown, let's see some ground and pound action. 

I will say this, even though they fought, it was almost gentlemanly at the end. I died laughing when I saw the handshake imagining what did they say to each other at the end "And let that be a lesson to you sir, so that this doesn't happen again". "Why yes indeed, it was quite boorish of me to assail you like that. What say you? Rounds At the 19th and no hard feelings ol chap?"

I agree that the end was pretty unexpected. That handshake... If only all fights ended so quickly once someone got hit. He got tagged, realized he made a mistake and was OK, I'm done!

Blue shirt has a very 'practiced' looking guard, balanced stance, good upper body bob / weave, and disciplined in throwing punches. I wonder if he didn't precipitate the situation for some practice and let the hothead get one shove in to 'justify' it as self-defense?

Ha, I played there Saturday and debated playing early Sunday, but there were no tee times. Dodged a bullet there.

( When I fight either one has to go down at least.  I will only make up if I got the better of my opponent.  Most guys pound their chests a lot but can't really fight.  Those who can fight ... you never know really until you are at the end of his fist.  So, yeah, be careful picking fights.  If you can't fight, and/or don't have much experience in fighting, don't.   That's my advice to fellow golfers who can't control their anger.  )

Something tells me neither of those people have ever really fought before. Neither of them even though about dropping a shoulder or using their legs.

That being said, I find the response that stops someone from intentionally hitting into you the fastest is if you start to toss their golf balls into water hazards. They'll stop giving you stuff to throw after one or two shots where they try to hit you.

I did that a few times and it worked.   As I got older, I don't even do that.   I just look at them and shrug my shoulder.  Most folks get it and don't do it again.  If they do, I call marshal these days.

Hahaha I always wanted to play that course when I lived there but I could never find a cheap enough green fee to get me out there.

I did play the other linked course a few times though, I lived a couple blocks away from it actually.
