15 minutes of mirror work on 3/4 backswings and steady head. This was my first time completing a 5 min challenge. I only had a couple times where the reason I did it was so I could post and complete the challenge. I think I made some gains and am now in the routine of doing something working on my game daily.

Range work today.  Still working on my takeaway...making a much fuller turn and taking it away a little faster.  Everything still feels really good.  Also worked on 3/4 swings with wedges as well.  Hadn't really focused on anything less than a full swing in a while so I wanted to make sure I can dial the changes up and down.

That's it for the month...I hit every day (at least I'm pretty sure I did!)

Fairways and Greens.

30 min

sklz swing trainer

7 iron around body, Y and L swings with concentration on lag

pump drill on full swing and finally full swing

same thing with driver

2 sets with both clubs and Sklz in between

After almost 3 months of almost every day practice. starting feel less casting, and hopefully more natural swing. Right hand feels lighter and less stressed

didn't make the month. Missed this past weekend because had to go help my brother-in-law and his family in Chillan where there have many wild fires. Their country house burned to the ground with all the belongings and memories inside. Fortunately no one was hurt and he has an apartment in the city

1/31: Shot 13 over on 13 holes this evening. Nice contact and mostly straight with the driver, just started them right a lot and ended up in the trees several times. Irons were working well and even the misses weren't too bad, but hitting from the trees on your second shot makes it hard to keep up with Ol' Man Par.

Scrambled for par a couple times and almost made a 20 footer and 60 footer for birdie. Pitching was very good again. Just a touch closer to the hole on average and I think the par numbers are going to go up. A few doubles sprinkled in there (because it's golf), but all in all I felt like I did a much better job of just making shots.

    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
