Yep. That was really it. It was a non-hitting drill and Vontaze just couldn't control himself. Like usual.

I like that the Bengals aren't a complete punching bag like they used to be back in the day. Lewis deserves some credit for that. However, the lack of discipline this team consistently shows is an annual stumbling block. Burfict and Jones are the poster children.

The Bungles are a joke as long as they roster these two clowns.

Sure. Still, it's a different kind of joke than what they were in the 90s and early 00s. That stuff largely changed me from a "fan" to a spectator. Put it this way. I've cried my last tear over pro football.

Myles Garrett hurts ankle in one of the last practices before the opener...feared out for weeks.  My Browns are cursed.  F'n cursed.

Sure I wasn't expecting to be world beaters this year but at least healthy for once.

Fairways and Greens.

Weird night to start off with here. I have Kelce and Hill from the Chiefs and the Patriot defense.

Of course bed time will be at the half anyway.

Glad you posted this.  Forgot there was a game tonight to start the season.

Although like you will be in bed by halftime.  One of the big disadvantages to being in the Eastern time zones is not seeing the end of any football game that kicks of at 8:00 or later.  Might be another sign that I am getting old.

Browns will win 9 games this year.

Unfortunately I'm including the 4 they won in preseason...

That's about where I have them also. Stuff breaks right for them (like Kizer hitting the grounding running), top side may be six or seven.

The Brownies get to be ole Vontaze's first game back from his most recent suspension. That's something to look forward to.

Good grief.... I am going to be asleep before this game even starts.  Somebody needs to wake me up when kickoff finally happens.

Fingers crossed the Rams can make it 2-0 this evening. Delighted to have AD back in that defence and think the Redskins are a good match for us to have. A nice, interesting week 1 in general so hoping for more of the same!

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

So. From David Johnson to Jacquizz Rodgers in one week.

Awesome.

Glad I drafted Kerwynn Williams in the 15th round...

Yeah it was rough. Fortunately I knew better than to start him.

Wanted to see how they'd play him first. Didn't look good lol

P.S. Browns were definitely Brownsing hard yesterday.

Yup.  My Browns looked the part.  New QB gets a migraine and the rest of the team looked BLEH.  Now off to Indy to face a Luck-less team.  They are actually favored for the first time since 2015.  I'm sure they'll find a way to mess that up.

Fairways and Greens.

I don't know that the rest of the team looked BLEH. Turn the ball over 4 times and only give up 24 points? Plus have the D on the field for that amount of time? Hey, Kizer's a rookie, and he's looking like one!

Anybody see any reason at all why Miami over NYJ isn't safe this weekend?

After a close shave with Arizona last week in the Suicide League, I'm looking for a less stressful Sunday.

Struggling a bit with this week's pick in that format too.  Miami on the road, coming from a home game in Los Angeles, crossing coasts... but up against the Jets.  Giants look bad so far this season too.  FWIW, in my league I'm debating Eagles or Dolphins this week.

Yeah. Eagles over Giants is the one my brother wants.

With a certain BM in my regular line up, I've watched the NYG crap-fests both the past two weeks. Maybe its just denial on my part, but they can't really be that bad. It would, however, be tempting to pick the Eagles and be able to save better teams for later.

Something about 0-2 makes people start worrying about their jobs.

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
