Day 14, June 5th 2023

Range session working on same stuff. Backswing length and right elbow bend. Hands down to right pocket.

First 10 balls were good because I did everything in pieces. Next 10 were meh because I can’t do this at speed yet. Next 10 where good because I went back to stopping at A6 and hitting chips from there.

Day 4

Still working on backswing trying to limit the bend in my elbow/wrist. Found when controlling my elbow more (capped to 90) my wrist was over extending which means far more correction on down swing and more twist.

Breaking it into stages and just holding form to get a proper feel for positioning.

Day 100 (6 Jun 23) - thought I posted yesterday, oh well don’t see it.  Counts a the day “off”.  Today, back to full speed swing focused on tempo using 3w.  Ended the session dropping back to the 6i and hitting hard foam balls.  Still having issues with the left foot (skin breakdown), so I kept the session to about 20mins total in the drills.

Bit if a niggle in my right side after over practising backswing yesterday so giving it the day to ease. A switch to putting and trying to control pace.

Day 1: 6/7/2023

Okay, I had to take a couple of days off. Pinched a nerve in my upper-glute/lower-back area. (That was a pain in the butt.... See what I did there?🤪

Yesterday, the nerve let go and I'm right as rain today. So, I did some chipping and putting at the course at which my children were participating in golf camp today.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

    • Since bowling season is starting soon. I'm going to transition into off-season golf stuff. I plan on trying to play a few more times this year. 1. Going to set up a hitting are in my house to actually hit some "foam" balls. Got to not let the winter make me rusty and set me back for next year.  2. I got to get into my post season workout. Got to lose some weight and start strength training again. This past year was the best physically I felt playing golf. I did about 4 months of strength training before hand. Specifically, squats and deadlifts.
    • Day 105 (26 Sep 23) - Monthly church men’s 9 hole super ball event.  Was fun being the fairway finder guy off the tee, really opens up for the big guns to let it rip….and we would still play my ball more times than not as theirs would be lost to the woods and water…
    • Day 144 - Played 18 holes.  Did a better job of committing to my priority piece with irons and hit some really high quality mid/long iron shots. Doing a partial practice swing feeling the left side bend before stepping up to the ball helped a lot. Driver was hot/cold, hit some really really good drive with multiple of them going 300+yd and also some really poor snap hook/toe balls. Waiting on my new shaft to arrive so looking forward to cleaning up those misses.  Putting remained very solid, this stretch since getting the Evolvr putting lesson is without a doubt the best I've ever putted (Shoutout to you @iacas), making so many more 5-20 footers than I ever have and feels like every miss is burning an edge or hitting a lip. Crazy how much easier putting has become when I already had good speed and reads and now I got the bead portion taken care of too.
    • Got about 3 months left.
