Day 118 (4 May 21) - Enjoyed some bump and run work today in the yard.  Focus was on alignment, weight forward and ball placement in stance.  The latter was more about getting a mental picture of ball flight based on whether ball is forward, middle or rear of stance.  As these are 20 - 30 yard shots, the goal was to get the ball to land a few yards short and have it roll out.  To be honest I was going long to begin with, hitting pin high and rolling past.  Worked the 9i and 58 to get a good mix.  Best work was with the 9i as one 7 shot group had 6 of the balls 2yd or less from the hole.

Day 504:

Worked more on shoulder turn and lead arm depth. Hit some foam balls. No chance for camera work today, so plan to check up on progress tomorrow.

Day 71.  Two brief work breaks today, about ten minutes each;  each were enough time to hit a dozen balls (indoors, off a mat, into a net, real balls).  First was UW quarter swings, the second was 5-iron shots (the kind you hit just to get out of the trees and advance it if the angle is right).

Day 119 (5 May 21) - Another day of pitch shot work in the back yard today.  Focus today was with the 7i and PW making sure not to fat the shot but also not topping it as well.  Worked on centering the ball and keeping swings to 1/2 - 3/4 at most using foam balls to limit flight.  Worked from 25yds out to just off the cup target. The latter was about light bump and runs to get the ball to release and roll out.

Day 33 (5/5/21) - Rained again today so for inside work I re-watched the "Lead Wrist Cupping and Palmer Flexion" video (Day 4 of the 30-Day Practice plan) and did the drills twice during the day.

Day 205: I was able to squeeze in about 20 minutes work between rain showers. Just focused on transition feels and center face contact.

Day 494 - May 5, 2021

Did a 21-ball salute practice session downtown twice (42 balls). Really focused on the backswing and keeping the right elbow elevated but not folding 90°.

Day 72.  Got my evolvr priority piece, and it's a wall drill.   I don't even need a club and I can do it several times a day, as I did today.

I'll be doing this quite a bit over the coming days before I go back to incorporating it with a club in my hands for a full swing attempt.

Day 34 (5/6/21) - Hit a small bucket at the range today, about 1/3 each wedges (full swing motion), hybrids and Driver. After striking the  first couple of wedges really near the hosel, I placed my Driver headcover about 2" outside the target line, which definitely helped me to move the strike closer to the center of the face. Low point control was generally good, as were distance and direction.

Drivers were pretty solid, with better trajectory than I have been hitting and mostly with a gentle draw. The only exception was a fade which would have worked OK.

Hybrids were a problem as I had poor low point control and either hit fat or thin, resulting in poor distance and trajectory. Low point control with my hybrids will be a priority.

Day 206: Brutal round this morning, 20-30 mph winds, the fairways were wet and they rolled the greens so it was running 11-12 on the stimp. Greens were really firm too considering how much rain we got the last two days. Shot an 86 and played poorly.

Day 120 (6 May 21) - Pitch and putt drills today.  Used the 58 and PW to pitch onto my backyard “greens” and then putt out to the hole.  Started with the balls scattered at varied distances (typ between 20 and 25 yds) - then putting in from farthest out to closest focusing keeping head still and not lifting to watch it go in (or by).  Pitch drills were all about engaging the clubs’ bounce.

Day 5.

Hit the range today using my 6I, then 3W, and last Driver.

Felt I was making small incremental improvements with contact and form as the session progressed.  Didn't really feel like busting out the camera to record.

Day 495 - May 6, 2021

Played 18 holes. Hit some really good shots. Hit some awkward AF ones, too.

Helped a player/student of mine with his shanks, and hit about 25 8I after that. The first six or seven were not good. Found a little something, and the next bunch were good. Hit a few PW, great. Figured I'd try driver. First one, super impressive, so I put the clubs away and gave away the other 50 balls. 🙂

Nice!

That arrived quickly! I think I've helped sell about 50 to 75 of those things by now.

    • I'm sorry. I may have been unclear. I was just mocking the youtube comment section and mocking the folks who believe the revealer is real physics. That's all.  We know, That's why we are mocking the people who believe in "the revealer".  I'm just kidding around.
    • Youtube comments are not generally something I give a whole heap of weight to. The "working against you" thing is kind of their whole schtick. I don't think it's unreasonable for them to say that. It's obviously possible to putt well with a regular putter. Putting comes down to can you pick the right line, get the speed right and then can you start the ball where you want to. If you do those things well, then you'll putt well (hardly groundbreaking I know). Would a lie angle balanced putter help you start it on line? I don't know. I know lots of people have opinions about it. I can imagine that it might help some people and there are plenty of cult followers who think it does. I don't own one and I'm not sure I'm likely to either, but I go have a mess around at the PGA superstore every now and again and it does feel a little different for me. My putter has about 45* toe hang and when I last got fit the fitter told me that was a good level for my stroke. That's very different from a LAB so perhaps not surprising it feels different.
    • They don't, but their drones of cult followers do. LAB definitely DOES say that if your putter fails "The Revealer" test it is working against you. 👍🤣👍 Go up about 6 posts, click on the youtube video and read the comment section. There are at least a half dozen posts about "The Revealer" being the end all be all of whether or not a putter is worth a damn. 🤷‍♂️

    • Finished full speed spectrum finally after being sick a couple times..Come a long way since August, not too shabby at 53. Recommended neural drive next. My best gains were 200g and above for high percentile. I saw some gains in the 80?-165 range but the real light weights is not my strong area..
