Day 84 (03 Mar 22) - Mirror work focused on slower than regular swing speed thru the impact and follow thru.  Love doing this w/out shoes as I get to feel  my weight on my lead 2/3 length foot.  Getting better torso rotation allowing the arms to remain extended (no chicken winging).

Day 47:

Rainy day nixed my original practice plan for today. Ended up doing mirror work on backswing and transition move.

Day 1 - it’s warming up so I should get more deliberate about regular practice.  I spent 30-40 mins putting in the office  using Blast app to improve my rhythm for lag putts. Did well, mostly 1.8-2.0 at distances of 10ft, 25ft, 40ft (down hallway).

Day 504: I’m pretty sure I tore a meniscus in my right knee two days ago. Feels like what happened in my left knee a few years ago. Seeing the Orthopedic Surgeon in Wednesday.

That being said, I did some putting rhythm work with the Tempo app at 72 bpm with short medium and longer putts. The app is good to get the rhythm in your head. When I’m on the course, I can get the rhythm down while waiting for my turn to putt. I don’t do a practice swing after I setup when I putt.

Also, did a few backswings in the basement. Same overall focus with high, deep hands, but added feeling more hinge in my wrists at the top and swinging down wide. I didn’t do any swings though. The knee is very unstable.

Day 85 (04 Mar 22) - Unplanned range round as the course I had planned to play was closed to play.  Opted to hit a bucket of balls on the range.  Focused on getting the weight solidly on the lead foot as well as good hip shift to load same.  Best “range round” to date.

Day 132 - Busy day today, so I only had time for about 15 minutes for hitting short pitches, first with my Orange Whip wedge then my 58* wedge. I was rushed and results were pretty spotty.

Day 67: 3/4/2022

I worked on my priority piece. I hit balls in the garage working on first the footwork thing then the turn thing.
Still haven't incorporated the "drainage tile" move. Need to do that.

I also spent time working on I guess you'd call it tempo. Right now my swing is a series of a couple of parts. I worked on blending it into one movement. That actually produced good results.

I got to work on every club in the bag today except the driver... It's wounded and on it's way back to Cobra right now.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 48:

Worked on priority piece hitting balls with 7-iron. It is super windy, and my net blew over several times, even weighted down with about 30 lbs of bricks on each side of the frame, so I gave up and went inside.

Day 505: Tested the knee by doing shoulder turn work to see how it feels. Seemed okay. I may try some swings tomorrow. Also did a Fit for Golf workout just avoiding the right side stuff.

Day One 😞

Had a really crap week - best intentions of practicing went by the wayside, and then the week got harded, and I didn't do anything of value at all.  However, felt a bit better today.  Practiced on the putting green, and then played half a dozen holes, droppping a few balls at times.  New streak starts...

I just registered today, so I guess that makes today "day 1" for me:

Spent about 2 1/2 hours on the range today with a group-lesson with my pro. These lessons are a 10-month plan where we meet 23 times overall, sometimes focusing on technique, sometimes practicing together and sometimes going on the course.

Today, the first hour we spent on the putting green focusing on the routine, as well as what we focus on when doing long and short puts.  One ball - one chance (goal for long puts (7 meter+) to focus on distance, goal for short puts (0 - 4m) primary focus on direction).

Next we went to the chipping/pitching area and had a similar discussion on routine and what to focus on when practicing. Given the environment, the focus was on the landing area. Yet again, we were practicing in "competition-mode" so that meant: One target, one ball.. after the shot, put the club back into the bag, place a new ball, select a new target, get the appropriate wedge from the bag and go through the full routine and hit the ball. Once hit, return the club into the bag and repeat.

  • Thumbs Up 1

cheers Chris

Day 59: Did a superspeed session. Also, while I was warming up, worked on some feels for my new priority piece.

Day 133 - Practiced partial wedge shots (1/4 and 1/2) today with my 49*, 54* and 58* wedges at a state park near my house. Although I had hoped to nail down some yardages, because the ground was so wet, it turned into more of a block practice session. Some good shots and some not so good. More work needed.

Day 2 - chip, pitch, & putt for 40mins at local course.  Worked in chipping with putting stoke around the greens, pitching motion, and then putting rhythm with Blast

Day 68: 3/5/2022

I worked just a touch on my priority piece. Mostly I just hit balls to different targets.

I was tired today and didn't feel the best so just hitting at targets was all I felt like doing.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Did some swings between lessons today. Feeling good, like some swings from two years ago.
