Some pics of the new PING i210 irons.

Seems that PING is continuing with the theme of each new model being more refined, "cleaner" looking at address than the previous generation.

Not bad looking. They almost seem more like the iBlade than the i200 with the more "muscle-like" cavity back.

Nice Mike! On first look they look almost like the S55. I saw i500 on the list..don’t remember seeing i210....but they look great!

Ah, yet another set of irons that I wish I was good enough to hit...  😢

These are really nice-looking...simpler is better.

I think that when they overly round off all the edges it makes them look chunkier. Not a fan.

Hit them? No, haven't even seen them in person yet. I'm hearing they're a little bigger toe to heel than the i200 but with a more streamlined look at address. Performance is probably pretty darn similar to i200.

Yes thanks Mike! They’ve remodeled the fitting shop at my course so I’m hoping to get a chance to try them both. I really like the i200’s but I think I’ve changed my picture and need an updated fitting. Please let me know if you do another hit test. Thanks again!

So similar to the i200....softer feel might be the only real difference.  I can't wait to see and hit the i500.  Demo day coming up this Saturday, usually when we have this one, the new equipment is there.

Hopefully to have a little report.  Want to hit the G400 drivers a bit more alongside mine. Last demo day I got screwed out of flights each time with the drivers.  All I need is 10 minutes max.

I've hit both the i500 and i210 (7irons out of my demo bag).  It was brief, but the i500 launched a bit lower with slightly more spin, I think. The i210 launched a bit higher with slightly less spin, I think. Distances looked about the same. I did not have my launch monitor out with them.  Feel wise, the i210 felt nice and soft like the i200.  The i500 was noticeably clunkier than the i210 but still felt really good on center hits.  I'll try them both on my launch monitor a bit later.  Busy with Jr Camp right now.

The left one is the i210 and the right is the i200.

I hit the 7i for both the i210 and the i500 today! Got to spend over an hour with the clubs. I agree with all of you pretty much. All I would add is used different shafts. I hit each club with an Aerotech Steelfiber 110 and then used    the Project X 6.0. Higher launch with both heads using the Aerotech shaft for sure. I felt the i210 had a bit softer feel than my i200 (Project X 5.5). The i500 was a bit clunky but gave me maybe 5-10yds more distance. Of course that may just have been better striking. I like them both but honestly I can’t say from the 7i that I like either of them anymore then my i200’s. Maybe I’ll get a chance to hit the i210’s with the Project 5.5 as I currently play. Beautiful looking club on both!

How was the sound of the i500? A little hybrid like/hollow?

I'm looking forward to hitting them this coming weekend.  I hate that the word " forged" is on the i500 where, from the reviews here, they feel anything BUT forged.  Is it even possible to get a good feeling off a club with a welded on face.

They're designed that way from what I read. The i500 has a flatter trajectory with less spin so it's a longer club for most people. It still hits the same peak height as the i210 but carries farther.

It is forged. It's also a hollow body multi-piece construction which is really where the feel comes from. The feel is why some companies inject their clubs with a polymer.

People attribute forged clubs with that soft feel because historically, forged clubs were musclebacks, when really it's about head shape and having more mass behind the clubface.

I’d say that’s a good way of describing it. It’s possibly the reason (hollow tech)  my good strikes went a little further than the i210 but for me the i210 has a better feel.

Yeah Bill, I know when I hit the TM p790 even though multipieces welded together, the speedfoam gave it a decent feel.

    • I know you guys were discussing this like a year ago. But, ironically I just had this discussion with my brother-in-law. We literally just did one of these. I'd always used the "Slow-Cook, Rest, and Sear" Method. But my bother-in-law was convinced the "5-Min/lb, 500 degree" method was the way. So, we gave it a go. I have to say it came out great.  I have a 25 year old, electric oven, GE brand... Not sure if that matters, but it came out great. ... Of course we stressed that nobody was to open the oven.   I don't make these all that often so, I'm not sure if I can fully recommend one method or the other, because without doing a Pepsi Challenge, I'd say both ways come out great. 👍😁👍
