Happy Thanksgiving! 

Currently living in Dayton, but have family all over the state.

I get out and play about once a week. I've been playing a little less lately and mostly practice anyway, two or three times a week.

Home course is Beavercreek Golf Club.

My occupation is research engineer, and I have interests in vehicles, sports and music/djaying.

Hello from Florida! Happy Thanksgiving and welcome to TST. Since you're doing a lot of practicing you may be interested to know that you can post a video of your swing in the 'My Swing' thread and get free advice from many excellent instructors. Nice to have you here. Enjoy the day!

Thanks, I might do that. I'd love to play more but my free time is pretty limited since I have two young kids. Usually I can sneak in an hour at the range after work.

I have some videos of my swing but I don't like how it looks. Maybe some feedback will help me change the picture.

Welcome to the Gem City.

My mom actually lives in a plat about 1 mile south of Beavercreek Golf Club and I still work down that way. A friend has abused me out there a time or two, but I prefer flatter and cheaper courses. I play Kittyhawk and the hometown Miami Shores.

We also have a couple of other guys in the general area. @CarlSpackler is back here from Florida much to his chagrin. Just north of here is @Jeremie Boop. We usually get together once or twice a season.

Thanks guys. Beavercreek is a pretty good time. Definitely have lost my fair share of balls there - enough that I learned where the hot spots are for finding lots of lost balls!

I've played Kittyhawk a few times in outings. Don't remember which of the 3 9s.

@klineka I saw from your game golf profile that you played at Turnberry. My sister lives right by there. Only played it once or twice though.

Actually, it's 3 18s at the moment. The Eagle, the Hawk and The Falcon.

It's my scruffy old muni.

Right now we are waiting on consultants to tell the City of Dayton what they need to do to stop losing so much money on golf. Unlike Beavercreek, they can't afford what they drop on it. The scuttlebutt around Kittyhawk is that the Hawk might get shut. ... It doesn't really make the most sense financially, but it would probably be the most PC decision for them to make. Community is historic and Madden is in West Dayton, either of those would be met with hostility from people that have never swung a golf club.

Yessir, It's one of the local courses owned by the City of Columbus. Not a bad track, fairly open for the most part, has a couple holes that can play pretty long depending on the wind direction. I probably get out to Turnberry 1-3x a year
