  1. Spieth enjoys cutting my heart out with triples. Jesus.
  2. Ha, actually, I don't think I'm too far off a competetive game. This might just be the lynchpin.
  3. Gaining distance doesn't surprise me but it's nice to see it corroborated. I'm sure I'll flush it more often with a shorter club so anticipate an increase in distance as well as accuracy. I doubt Jimmy W will see an increase in distance, however, cuz these pro could flush a 50" most of the time. Scary to do on my own though, because of skewing the swing weight, so that was also nice to hear. Think I'll make this happen, thanks for the nudge.
  4. Curious about results. I went from 46 to 45, thinking about going to 44. I know Tiger used a 43 for much of his early career, so I may do that too. Are you more accurate? Flushing it more often? Impact on distance? Has not messing with swing weight had an effect?
  5. 174-yard, 5i fairway bunker shot. In the hole for eagle. Had 3 eagles in '16, probably most ever in a season for me. The one above, a 12' foot putt - par 5, and a 59-yard pitch-in - par 5.
  6. This makes sense but others were discussing having a practice set and a gaming set. That's not a concept I can quite grasp.
  7. I don't get the concept of practicing with clubs other than those you'll be playing with. It takes me a long time to acclimate to clubs so I couldn't imagine using a different set on the range, unless they were identical to my gamers.
  8. Hope he retires from the Pebble pro-am too. One look at his swing is enough for me to vomit in my mouth a little.

    2016 NFL Draft

Haha, yes, fer sure. I love me some Zeke. Was on the bandwagon by game 4, the 1st couple had me a little worried. I think the Cowboys can make some noise this year, I have a bet out that they'll win their next 2 and get to the Super Bowl. Sure hope someone knocks off the Pats in the next 3 weeks but I wouldn't count on it. Still, we can beat anyone left and most of them can beat us, so it should be a fun post-season.
  10. I find the conditional responses interesting. If he stays healthy he'll win a major? I believe those are mutually exclusive. He cannot play well enough to win a major without reinjuring himself. And if he stays healthy, it means he isn't working hard enough to contend with the big boys. My opinion is and has been that his body is done in terms of the type of wear and tear it will require for him to get back to championship form. I voted Not Bad.
  11. How the flip is Jordan a B player but Vaughn Taylor is an A?? Am I missing something?
  12. All the more substantiation for the new rule. If you touch it and move it accidentally aren't you by definition being more careless than if you don't touch it and it moves yet you more likely than not caused the movement? I'm confused by this response yet I agree. It's far more likely that the elements caused a ball to move than a player who didn't touch it. Been saying that all along.
  13. I'm with you Pete. If it wasn't touched and it wasn't intentional it shouldn't be a penalty, regardless the cause.
  14. Agree on all fronts but as I read this, I couldn't help but think of the similarities between Rousey's situation and Tiger's.
  15. That's a shock to me; sure looked like TM had a leg up but still, I always assumed he'd go back to Titelist. I'm guessing the dollars involved helped sway him. Curious how long the transition will take.
  16. So, no rules violation but he ain't helping himself any. I guarantee the dude sucks with a pre-shot routine like that. So, your admonishment to him ought to be along those lines, opposed to a rules infraction. Tell him to get a lesson.
  17. It's good if the terrain and/or conditions complement it. Don't force it. My club uses 1MM gallons a day on the course in the summer. Replenishable, totally necessary for the course Jack built. Love the waste areas on the coast or in the desert but no need to create it where it isn't natural. Let topography be your guide when designing a golf course, which I think most do.
  18. 72.0/129 - 82. Phenomenal round until the last 3 holes where I went bogey, double, triple. Unbelievable. Oh well, lots of stuff coming together, irons last 2 rounds have been on point - 21 GIRs in those 2 rounds (only 3 birdies, however, so putting has been off a bit). Anticipate getting back to regular 70s rounds very soon. Only 1 in my last 20, need to fix that.
  19. Forgot about that one, thanks for the reminder, fantastic.
  20. http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/george-michael-dead-former-wham-singer-dead-at-53-w457754 Huge contributor. Lots of stories about how his music impacted me but suffice it to say, he'll be missed.
  21. Best Christmas ever for me, my kids are just phenomenal. What a lucky dude I am. Merry Xmas to all!
  22. Right, but mankind's irresponsible influence on atmospheric escape will hasten this apocalypse by at least 5 or 6 years.
  23. http://www.golfdigest.com/story/tiger-woods-to-play-golf-with-donald-trump-on-friday-according-to-source Nuff said.
  24. Guess he didn't get the memo from Arnold. That looks nothing like Fuzzy.
  25. Did my post really get deleted? Man, that's some sour grapes. Buck up rangers, all is well. Lol.
