We're All Still Here? Nobody Raptured?

I took this picture back in February here on Main st in Newark, DE, there were about 10 of these vans and they wouldn't let me cross the street, so I now feel safe enough to make fun of them. :-)

A volcano starter erupting ash in Iceland again today. They don't know how long it will last, but it's probably the closest we come to doomsday this time around.

the sad truth is, these "prophets" do more damage than good. just as Graveyards are Sacred, so is the belief in the Bible to many,many folks. For these looney-tunes to have the audacity to say THEY know when His plan is to be enacted, they have much to woory about when they meet the Man.It's as gross as blatant mockery.....

I read a few articles about people who were very (for lack of a better term) devout followers of the guy who predicted this one. They gave up everything expecting not to need anything after yesterday, and of course now they have nothing. I remember one specific story about a family who quit their jobs and spent most of their money a few months ago to spend the rest of their time with their infant child, and now, of course, they have no money.

Come on, guys. Everyone knows the world's not ending until 2012

There's also the guy who gave some huge amount of retirement money -- something like $140,000 -- to advertise it. At least his heart was in the right place, and that's at least a reasonable excuse for something like this. The people who need some jail time are those who put their pets to sleep in preparation for this thing.

The Mayan calendar was only 260 days long so 2012 in Mayan time happened quite a while ago.

Pfffft, logic!?!? That's not allowed here.

I am sure there is golf in hell. I have previewed some of the rounds before. Funny for a place so hot, there are so many snowmen. I heard that the Callaway Diablo line is the club of choice among the damned.

Actually, I believe that everyone is issued with a Title Satanist staff bag containing fourteen blade 2 irons, a dozen Top Flites and four bricks. The single shotgun start is at daybreak and the only course is located in that famous part of Hell which froze over on the day Andy Plummer and Mike Bennett were inducted into the World Golf Hall Of Fame. Gloves are not permitted.

And Golf Sandals are the required footwear (I know I will catch hell for this comment)!

True.  True.  I heard so many people bad-mouthing Christianity and the Bible, as if Harold Camping and his followers even engage their minds when they read it....if they even do.  I heard quite a few people entirely sure that it wasn't going to happen and I thought that was an equally prideful statement as this deluded nut-job thinking he knows the time.  You can just listen to the followers and hear a mind blown by every wind of doctrine:

"I just know he's biblically sound," the man said. "I've never been one of these guys who think everything he says is true.

"I don't think I am going to stop listening to him," the man added, heaving a deep sigh before continuing: "I don't know, I gotta listen to him on Monday, see what he says on the radio."

I'm straining to pick out a reasonable line of reasoning in that small window into the mind of his followers....but for the grace of God, I'm right there with them if I don't stay alert and keep my mind sharp.  I'm convinced this whole movement is yet another attempt to discredit the message of the Bible, that there is a time appointed, and no one knows...  Now people will just go on about their ways.....

Actually we were all raptured and golf and the Sand Trap are heaven.
