Tentative Dates and Location

September 9-12, 2015 (play on the 10-12 with a special event on the 9th) in Phoenix, AZ.

To Apply…

  • Post in this thread.
  • State your case.
  • Remain (or become) an active member of the site.
  • Have the ability to take a few days off work in early September.
  • Have a single digit handicap index (the lower the better).

This edition of the Newport is as much about having a group of guys play some golf with people they enjoy. That doesn't mean everyone has to agree on everything, but chemistry is important. If we're going to take a chunk of our time to travel away from our families and hang out with some other guys, we want it to be a great experience.

Thanks for the tag, Mike! The event sounds awesome - I'd love to participate (work and family calendars permitting), so you can include me in the list for consideration. As far as stating my golf case goes, that's gonna be tough. According my index, I've hovered between a 7.4 - 9.5 over the last couple of years, but for some reason @Golfingdad manages to beat my brains in every time we play a round together!

I'll just say that I try my best to be good company, even when I'm not playing well, and leave it at that.

Not sure. I haven't been to the south east yet to experience that dry heat. At least your not getting 95 degrees with a dew point of 75! :surrender: that you can get in Ohio.
