Add to that

4. Plenty of ice, a shot of Tequila, a shot of Triplesec, a splash of margarita mix, and 1/2 - 3/4 can of Diet Mt. Dew - it's a 'Dew-rita' *

* Made this up myself, most people I've given it to think it's great, Diet Mt. Dew is a great mixer.

Flavored sparkling water and generic diet cola.  Alcohol and I used to be really good friends until I decided that it was in my best interest to stop.  It's been 12 years now and I don't miss it.  Need a designated driver?

Alcoholic: Sam Adams Summer Ale on sunny, cool days. Otherwise nice bourbon.

Non-Alcoholic: lemonade (the real stuff)

What about snacks/food? I'm big fan of anything with a shell - peanuts, pistachios, sunflower seeds...

See you on the course.

On coarse I am a fan of local mostly like Castle Lite or a COLD Black Label if i am not in the mood for a low round :P After i go with a Stiff Ddl Brandy and Tab *or more*. Dbl Jack Daniels and Lime with crushed ice.

I used to be a heavy drinker being South African we normally start on beer at 13 then progress. But after the first Kid i keep drinking only to the golf coarse. It is after all my time not family time.

Snack's? Biltong without question. On or Off the coarse. I eat about 3kg's a week in summer. Then winter comes and we go hunt a few Kudu and Springbok then it ups to 5kg's a week. It is excellent golf snacks because it has tons of salt and high in protein.

If I'm drinking beer it's usually Alexander Keiths, MGD or San Migel Strong Ice.

But generally I prefer rum.  My favorite is split between a couple depending on the mood and who I'm drinking with.

1. Kraken 47%  (gotta be careful with this one)

2. George Street Rum 35%  (Really smooth)

3. Captain Morgan Private Stock  (Like Candy)

Unfortunately no pubs, or bars of any kind that I have been to serve any of this.  So I will order Captain morgan spiced which used to be on top of my list.

Non-alcoholic: Water and black coffee is pretty much the only thing I drink.

Alcoholic: Too many beers to list but a few of my favorites are: Stone Ruination, Bell's Hopslam, Troeg's Nugget Nectar & pretty much anything Sierra Nevada puts out. Also, red wine. The drier, the better.

Used to be addicted to Diet Coke and Coke Zero.  Gave them up cold turkey about a year ago.

Now my favorite non-alcoholic drink is Perrier or any other cold carbonated/seltzer water and black coffee.

+1 on the Guinness. Swap the Bourbon for scotch and we could be real good friends!

Malbecs are a great choice too, although my first love is Italian wine.

Oh... I'll drink some scotch, I just have a soft spot in my heart - and liver - for the sweet nectar of my college years.

    • When does a 'non-conforming' club become just another piece of metal or plastic?
    • Day 353: mirror work again today. Working on the same stuff - wrist twist and shaft lean.
    • This is my second year playing golf, I started last season but have always struggled with a slice. I've tried multiple things to try and fix the slice: Closing the face. Rotating my right hand out or clockwise in the grip. Keeping the club head low in my back swing. Focusing on a straight swing path. Trying the straighter arms like Bryson D. (as seen in the videos above) Trying to not let me hips get too far ahead of my down swing. Trying to keep my shoulders down until after I've made contact with the ball. Etc. I recently changed to the straighter arms which has helped me adjust away from such a drastic slice. So it has helped a bit. Before that, I was trying to keep the club head low in the back swing and this was the most helpful in correcting the slice, however it drastically removed power and distance in the strikes and would even sometimes result in a hook. About a couple months ago I had a single lesson with my driver and learned some helpful things, but have since struggled to perform what I learned well. One of the things in the lesson was to keep my shoulder down more in the the down swing until after making contact with the ball. This would help the slice a bit, sometimes drawing the ball. To even it out, I was instructed to rotate my hips a bit earlier in the down swing. What I have noticed however with the earlier hip rotation is that it's really hurting my lower back a lot. Since backing off on that it's helped not injure my low back as much. I believe my main issue might possibly be the swing path, being a Pull Slice.   See above, was mid typing when you posted. I have never watched Moe Norman's swing to be honest. I have never measure my hip rotation, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on that after you read about my hip rotation / back pain issue.
    • Two questions… Are you trying to swing like Moe Norman? What's your hip turn like? Have you ever measured it?
    • I've been Playing Golf for: 2 years My current handicap index or average score is: 18 Index My typical ball flight is: Slice/Fade with a driver and FW. Generally straight with irons, varies some days left or right. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Driver slice. Videos:
