forgive me if this has been asked but I've notice some MFGs do not offer LH clubs...and if they do, they're limited runs...is there a production/sales hurdle with LH clubs?

I think it has to do with the machinery used to make the clubs. I think some machines are ‘templates’ for right handed and due to the much less demand for left handed the cost to have reversed machinery isn’t worth it. Aside from Bubba and Phil I think this is why some manufacturers ( Ping and Callaway) offer more left handed options than Mizuno for example. And I’m thinking it matters whether the clubs are cast or forged.

Plus left-handed people are aliens disguised as humans that have infiltrated our planet as advanced scouts for the eventual takeover (Shh, don’t tell my wife I know) and golf manufactures are in on it and don’t want lefties to dominate the golf world and bring attention to themselves.

Lol...well, when I hit a golf ball I usually bring attention to myself.

It's pretty much this. There just aren't enough left handed golfers to make it cost effective for some manufacturers to offer left handed clubs.

I might have told this before, but my father is left handed. Many years ago, he was at Kingsmill, and he forgot his glove. He asked the young lady behind the counter if they had gloves for left handed golfers, and she said they only had gloves for normal people.

I read some where that in the golfing world, less than 10% of all golfers are left handed. I also read that number could actually be as low 6%. So, say 8%.

The lack of availability for left handed clubs might be just because it's a marketing/supply/demand thing. Some manufacturers simply let other companies handle the left handed market.

Myself, knowing what I believe about dominance, and less dominance hands/arms in the swing, I just might have been better off playing left handed.

I kinda figured about the machinery set up being a key factor...but I also YUGELY agree that it's a form of oppression to try and stem the tide of left power ;)...

Just curious. Do manufactures sell their left handed clubs for the same price as their right handed clubs?

Well, we know that left handed people are sinister, by definition.

They have to pay with left handed money. I don't know what the current exchange rate is.

Funny. I suppose left handed clubs won't fit in a right handed golf bag either.....right?

Correct due to the Coriolis Effect.

Yes, it’s more problematic and difficult.

Every time a shiny new Mizuno MP club comes out, all I can do is sigh...

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? TIGER WOODS' AMATEUR VICTORIES YEAR WIN(S) 1984 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys    1985 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys    1988 Boy's 11-12 Junior World Golf Championships   1989 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships   1990 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships, Insurance Youth Golf Classic   1991 U.S. Junior Amateur, Boys 15–17 Junior World Golf Championships, Orange Bowl International Junior Look at some other AJGA Players of the Year. How many of these names do you recognize? A few, for sure. I assure y'all, I'm not trying to pee in your Cheerios. I just don't get what the point is. Okay. I get that, then. Thanks.
    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
    • Day 1: Spent some time hitting some balls. Working on my hips and a “soft” and straight trail arm.
    • Slight digression on the way to my point. Back in the day there were a lot of people who said that Tiger won because of “the Tiger effect” where people pushed too hard and made mistakes trying to catch him and fell by the wayside. I thought that was BS. It was just that he was that much better than them. I don’t think anything has changed my mind on that.    The hype about Miles Russell is very limited. I’ve seen nothing about him outside of some fairly hardcore golf websites. But I think that the reason those people are talking about him is because he is very good. Same as Tiger. And like I said he just broke one of Tiger’s records. That gets hardcore golf fans to pay attention.
