It doesn’t matter.  The raw scores are irrelevant.  Only the differentials matter, and those remain the same, as calculated by the rules in effect at the time.

If it was important for people to continue to have a Handicap Index continuously, the only practical way is to accept the available scoring history as is, with ESC applied under the then-current rules.  Otherwise, you'd have to wait until you've entered 3 scores (54 holes) under the new rules, and nobody wants to wait.

Mine went from 2.9 down slightly to 2.6. Easiest handicap drop I ever had. 😉

Mine is down a few tenths, 5.1 to 4.8

Natalie’s went from 1.4 to 1.0. Someone else I saw was 0.0 to +0.5. Some others I saw went up a bit.

Looks like mine went down from 6.1 to 6.0.

Checked this morning and mine went from 9.1 to 8.9. If only it were always that easy to lower it.

I wonder if it’ll take a little longer for those that don’t have an off-season...

The new App will still not function properly.
It loads to sign in and then crashes.
I've uninstalled and re-installed it a couple of times.

Also, Ghin site is still inactive to lookup my handicap.

Guess they haven't worked out all the bugs yet.

I've installed the new GHIN App without a problem, and portions of it work OK, the Golfer Lookup, and my scoring history, my current HI.  However, anything that requires access to individual golf course information hangs it up, score posting or Course Handicap calculations.  The same is true with the GHIN.com website.  I'm guessing that they're seeing really heavy traffic, but I don't know enough to guess whether that's part of the problem right now.  .  @David in FL, we have year-round posting in Virginia, so that's not the issue, it might just be different state associations will be up on different timetables.  I also tried to install the updated VSGA App, which has a portal to GHIN for score entry, and that failed, so my problems may be due to issues at VSGA.

It’s up now, but keeps crashing.  The new GHIN app looks a lot more laborious than the prior edition.  We’ll see.

I was just forwarded a message our pro got from the VSGA's Handicap Director.  It simply said the USGA is having performance issues, and is working on it.  We'll hear more when they know more.
