Not quite Sunday pins but not much in the middle of the greens either. Slightly harder than yesterday. I like 12 and 13 especially

There’s not a cut between round one and round two.

I meant they have to play 27 holes in a row and fatigue could be a problem. For example, Collin Morikawa played 9 holes this morning and just started the second round.

Irons: 0.5 inch short and 2* Flat Mavrik 5 to AW (AW-105, PW-120, 9-135, 8-145) The lofts for these clubs are about 3* to 5* stronger  than standard.

Wedges: Mizuno MP-R series 52* and 56*. (80, 60)

Nickent: 4DX 2 hybrid 17* and 4 hybrid 23* (185 and 170 carry)

3 Wood: Tour Edge XGC 13* (195 carry)

Driver: Callaway FT IZ Driver 9* (210 carry, ~230 total)

This kind of thing happens all of the time.  Go look up how many holes Tiger played in one day, while winning the 2005 Masters.  Go back a little in history and you will find that playing 36 holes on the last day of an event were common.  Then there is the US Amateur, which still plays a 36 hole match for the finals.

If playing 27 holes is a problem for a player then, IMO, they have no business being a pro golfer, let alone playing in the Masters.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

Yeah, I think yesterday the holes were cut in the high spots of many greens given the rain.

Is there anything better than the Masters' website? I submit to you that there is NOT.

I picked JT in the one conversation I had with someone where they asked me to pick someone. That person picked Rahm.

JT hitting a tree and the ball ending up further away from the green on a punchout makes me feel better about all the times it happens to me.

Im and Ancer are doing well for their first Masters. I've heard that data predicts players don't start playing their best at ANGC after around 6 tournaments or something.

Yes, but it also reminds me of the time I was in the trees and was going to have to pitch out to be about 30 yards further from the green than where I was in the trees.  I pushed my pitch out, hit a tree, and it ricocheted into the fairway, 20 yards closer to the green than I started.  I went on to bogey the hole, IIRC.

Anyone else enjoy the sight of BDC being driven back to the tee to reload as much as I do?

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
