He'll be remembered mostly for Bond, but I've watched The Hunt for Red October (eagle) so many times, that's the movie I most associate him with now.

He was a really good actor. The Untouchables was great too. I loved all the people who imitated him like Darrell Hammond on SNL.

I actually liked the League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen.  I kind of gave up on Connery after The Avengers, but all is forgiven now.

I've tried three times this year to get through The Avengers and I just can't.  But the teddy bear scene makes me optimistic each time that it will be a good movie because that scene is so wonderful.

I watched Rising Sun dozens of times back when we had one of those old school huge satellites.  Had a really good Connery 'kohi' impersonation for a while, too.  It's been forever since I've seen a lot of his movies.  Sounds like a good time to revisit a few.

I am about 95% sure I saw The Avengers in theaters.  I really like the TV show, and the Rigg years in particular. 

I read Rising Sun in sixth grade and I remember enjoying the book.  I am not sure now that I understood what I was reading at the time though.  Either way, I think I saw the movie once.

He seemed like a pretty cool guy...and someone you would enjoy playing a round of golf with.  He managed to always be himself while playing different characters.  Okay...his accent in The  Untouchables was pretty awful...but he was Sean Connery...we can let that slide.

      I don't see how any of this is on ZJ. When players get hot they make the captains look like geniuses no matter who they get paired up with.. and vice versa.  These are the best 12 he came with. Pairing chemistry can work if players play as advertised.  I hope they turn it around just so ZJ railers can eat their words. And I'm not even a ZJ fan.

      The bit of it that really surprises me is that nobody else seems to have really been effective doing it. From what I understand, it isn't from a lack of trying either. Gotta give the Eagles some credit.  But, these Philly people can get right out of town with this "Brotherly Shove" nonsense. I'm not ever calling it that and will fight anyone who does.

      Just to look back at the history, the U.S. usually gets hammered in this event. 18 of them since 1985 and the U.S. has only won six. Haven't won in Europe since 1993. I was in frigging high school back then.

      Day 332, September 29, 2023 Practiced for 15 minutes or so after lessons today. It's the right stuff, but it's feeling awkward at the moment. I'll battle through. Some of the shots at the end were good. It's still just the two things, but I'm re-focusing on the first thing first.
