Are you are referring to the comment stating that no data has been presented by me or anyone else on this site? If so, please explain is not a direct question, but allow me to do so. As I stated in an above post, many other golf forums and youtube channels have done reviews and testing. I could post some links to those, but I am not sure how that is received in here. I know that the TXG guys did a very good review on the putter and went pretty in depth.

Please provide data you claim to exist. You don’t need to link to other sites. You claiming raving reviews on other sites is juvenile and makes you look ignorant of actual data…if there is any actual data. At this point you are making the putter look less credible, not more.

*Reviews are NOT considered data. As an “MIT grad” you should understand that.

I was actually thinking about this putter last night during the first intermission and had this thought.

Maybe it is silly.

With the shaft square in the middle like that, what is the risk of getting the shanks with your irons? I've noticed how very subtle differences in my perception of things can really mess with my golf swing. However well the putter does on the green, I'd worry that my shaft (and hosel) might creep closer to the ball with my other clubs.

For me any putter works well for somebody depending on their putting swing.  The only requirement is the face is level.  Remember an article a few months back about some pro who realised his putter insert was slightly damaged from so much use that he occasionally got funny shots because the position on the face where the ball struck was dented or damaged.  He figured it out by placing his credit card against the face and saw some gaps.  So no matter what putter is out there, somebody will definitely benefit from it

I’m confused. Are you saying having a putter with the shaft coming out of the middle of the head would make you subconsciously swing your irons with the hosel closer to the ball?

Right.

I'm wondering if the optics of the shaft aligning with the ball on the putter might mess with my perception when it comes to my other, normally shafted, clubs.

He is, and I think that's really unlikely.

Ok. I think it’s unlikely, too. Different club, different motion, different intent.

Different grip (usually), different stance (hope so!), etc.

I’m glad the OP likes the putter, but this looks like something I made in metal shop in junior high back in ‘73.

This looks like an uglier version of the PXG Mustang Putter.

PXG's mustang makes all the same boasts as the LAB Mezz, but in a much prettier package.

Plus, you can pick up a Mustang for about 150 bucks.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

The LAB or The PXG?

I kinda like the PXG ... but as you know, I like shiny things.

PXG. Does it come with the brush or is that separate?😜

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. ... I mean, my mom thinks I'm handsome.... 🤣
Having said that, I'll get back to the topic.

I was actually just trying to point out that LAB is not the first to make a super high MOI center shafted putter.

I do think they've set the ugly bar pretty high.

Looks like LAB golf is going to be sticking around for quite some time. Lots of tour players using it now, and none of them are paid to play it. Pretty cool to see a small company doing so well in a really tough market to get into (as far as tour use goes). Wishing them all the best and am excited to see what they come out with next.

    • the rules have changed, but this would fall under 11.2 in the current rules.  General Penalty to any player who deliberately deflects a ball in motion, and you must replay the putt.
    • Day 250 4-29 Getting chest through with speed on downswing and wrist arch. Also worked on some moving the pelvis slightly away in the backswing. Feel like im going too fast and long, looks like it on the recordings too.
    • Interesting that it's no penalty, but then again, I can't imagine someone would purposefully put their foot out there in this situation or one like it.  And then there was the time someone purposefully deflected his own ball during a major, but that's very different too. The only time I can recall a ball I hit hitting another player or their equipment was ages ago -- over a decade and a half ago.  I had a 3' putt for an 89 and someone (a random pairing, not someone I knew) decided it was a good time for goaltending practice.  That wouldn't fall under this rule, though (and it wasn't in a tournament anyway). Thanks for continuing to share these, Dave!  I always find these interesting.
    • Day 51 (29 Apr 26) - Worked with a few of the golf team kids plus my grandson (he’s too young for the team as it’s middle-high school age and he’ll be 10 Sat).  He put on a small hitting clinic (hitting off the same tees as the rest of the boys) - one of the older kids called him a “coach”.  Worked in a few shots for myself - had the light bag: driver, 7w, 4 - 6 - 8 - Pw - Sw (DCI 962’s except the Sw a 981) and Zebra putter….got in some great tee shots, a couple of recovery and an awesome up and down for bogie: 55 yds out, hitting 4th shot due to 2nd getting tangled in limbs - see the window I need to hit for a tight spinner with the Sw - nail it to a postage letter distance from the cup for a tap in bogie….my kind of practice.
    • Day 21, April 29.  Before going to work this morning, I worked in my indoor practice room for 20 minutes.   This was entirely 6-iron shots with the usual step.  Video yesterday showed me that I'm still straightening my trail leg too much (leading to the backswing length issue I've been working to fix), so I focused on not doing that in my rehearsal swings.
