Ha ha ha.

This shows the winners of the last 40 years at The Players hitting their tee shot on 17… except it doesn’t.

  • Greg Norman won in 1994, he’s been replaced by Nick Faldo.
  • Phil won in 2007 and he’s been replaced by Vijay.

With a knock down 7 iron and a dozen Pinnacles. I get the wind and visual uncertainty but what's with the swings where the ball is landing like 15 yards offline in the water? It's just weird

I understand the schadenfreude of leaving them out, but I abhor tinkering with history.

Doesn’t look promising for golf today. Monday finish seems likely, maybe even a shorter tournament also.

Not sure if anyone has ever brought this up about the scheduling of big tournaments like the Players...  But why not move the tournament to June?  when the weather is more favorable??         

I mean it's like trying to schedule a tournament in Michigan for this weekend......   It's literally snowing right now...     Yes I realize it's florida, but you still know the weather is crazy down there, this time of the year..   

And i get it, this can happen anywhere, and anytime.. but at least if it was in the Month of June, the course would dry up quicker when the rain stops...

      Yeah - I'll keep an eye on that - I've been across the line for about forever, so I assume that I want to overexaggerate the laid off bit to get it closer to square when I take a real swipe at the ball.

      First swings at after a 2.5 month forced hiatus. No surgery in the forecast at the moment! Doc said okay to start easing in gently over a few weeks. The effort is barely 30% here but felt solid.  I think my swing changed a few years ago after my right ankle injury (weight shift profile). I wonder if this may bring about another change. I certainly won't pivot on to the knee (left) aggressively any time soon, if ever. Could even be a good thing..heh.
