Nice.  And it was just the other day I was telling my students about my first time purchasing an external hard disk, and how excited I was to have 80 MB of additional disk space.

?

HD floppies that were 1.4MB instead of 800k were huge at one point.

The purchase was in the early-to-mid 90s.

My first external hard drive was for the Commodore Amiga 500. It was 20 MB and I thought I was in storage heaven!

I never had external non-floppy storage for my Commodore 64. :-(

You guys are young.  I started with tape drives on an IBM 360 and punch cards.

Could you image trying to back that up? Maybe if I could upload my consciousness!

The first disk drive I worked on was an ISS drive with a removable 10 platter 20 head 100MB disk. It had the smallest footprint of a 100MB drive in the industry and was almost the size of a washing machine.

It was attached to an RCA 3301 mainframe along with Telex 6420 tape drives, which were the size of refrigerator. In the same data center was an IBM card punch, a Data Products card reader and CDC chain impact printers.

You can get a 1 TB flash drive for well under 150. That’s a lot of swing videos you could lose in a hot second. So easy to misplace.

I should get some NAS so I can keep all my swing videos safe.

So many options. I went with Synology, working out pretty good so far.

    • I just sent these into Evolvr, so I'm not asking for comment, so much as using this thread as a swing diary whenever I remember to do so.   and
    • Day 121.  I did fifteen minutes of the step-turn-step-turn drill and ten minutes of full swings (all with a 6-iron) indoors before heading out to a nearby course to get some video at the range for Evolvr.
    • Day 1: 07/04/2022 Made it to the range yesterday and worked through a small bucket of balls. I was working on getting hands down quicker and getting club on a more shallow plane. The hands are looking better but could still be more shallow. Hitting probably 95% off the toe which I think may be due to not rotating enough in downswing. I've tried to slow down hips in an effort to catch hands/arms up but need to work on incorporating both back into the swing.
    • Yeah, my busy season at work ran unexpectedly later into the year but it should be over now so even though I've only played like the or four rounds this year, hoping to massively increase that figure. Hope things get better for you soon!
    • I've forgotten much of the show, I know it's a simulation and robots, but it's not a simulation of the Matrix type, the fake world is manifested physically right? Even a robot with a perfect swing and super speed can't do this. Apparently this scene has kind of gone semi viral?
