I ended up buying more golf balls(Noodle), some tees and a new Callaway glove. Nothing too special.

What's in the bag?
2 Iron, 3 Iron, 4 Iron, 5 Iron, 6 Iron, 7 Iron, 8 Iron, 9 Iron, PW, GW, 3 Wood, 5 Wood, Putter
Titleist Irons, Callaway Woods and a Jack Nicklaus putter. Cigars and a case of Stella.

At Golf Galaxy I used the website coupon and had a Boccieri Golf heavy "Secret Grip" put onto a driver shaft that has fallen out of favor with me.  It's a $17 grip and free installation at GG or Dick's with the coupon from www.boccierigolf.com.  The rules say that it has to go on a driver or a 7 iron.  I only had time to hit it a couple of times but it felt really good.  If you have a spare driver of shaft that you want to try something else with the Secret Grip is probably worth the try.  I'll try to post more when I have time on Tuesday to spend some time with it at the range.

Went to the Grand Opening of the New York Golf Center on Park Ave. last week just to look around. Wound up picking up a dozen of the new Rocket Ballz Urethane, and one of the high tech hats that will wick away sweat. It was a TaylorMade logo'ed hat with the RBZ/Lethal and R1 logos as well. As I walked around I found the swag table- they were giving away stuff in a bag. I grabbed one and what do you know- A high tech TaylorMade hat with the R11s logo... which is the driver I just bought. Also in the bag was a 3 pack of Lethal Balls.

Just refinished an old putter and had one of those "Fatso" grips put on at G.G.  Hopefully i can try it out this weekend

I am so done for a while.

72 balls (because the sale price was ridiculously low)

Rain jacket

wind pants

stand bag for the trophy wife

two alignment sticks

that'$ enough ....  really

Callaway X Hot Pro 3 Deep 13* - Put it into play this week for the first time, club is amazing off the tee.  Today I didn't miss a fairway and actually went longer than some guys hitting driver (none of us are long hitters).  I had to keep the ball low today because of the high winds, and it just rolls forever.

If you're not happy with your driver, check this club out.  It's not easy to hit off the deck (at least not for me) but as a club off the tee, I can't imagine another club replacing it in my bag except for a driver I can control as well.

I bought the FTiZ 13* for the same reason. A GREAT wind club with plenty of rollout. Not so easy off the deck, but a nice semi short first cut is fine. A lush Northeast fairway might be okay, but a Florida hardpan type would be a tricky situation.

    • Why wouldn't it have? It's not like you were playing it as a 145yd par 5 and made a 2 or something.  Or not like it was playing 50yds to a temporary green or something either.

    • Lazarus Irons....top notch and way cheaper than the big brands.
    • I know you guys were discussing this like a year ago. But, ironically I just had this discussion with my brother-in-law. We literally just did one of these. I'd always used the "Slow-Cook, Rest, and Sear" Method. But my bother-in-law was convinced the "5-Min/lb, 500 degree" method was the way. So, we gave it a go. I have to say it came out great.  I have a 25 year old, electric oven, GE brand... Not sure if that matters, but it came out great. ... Of course we stressed that nobody was to open the oven.   I don't make these all that often so, I'm not sure if I can fully recommend one method or the other, because without doing a Pepsi Challenge, I'd say both ways come out great. 👍😁👍
