Never. Does that work? What do you use, if anything, as far as soap? Most liquid detergent has bleach in it I think.

Just regular dish detergent and spray the heck out of the hat with a stain spray like Shout or Oxi-Clean.

Works pretty well....top rack and without a lot of other really dirty dishes in there.

Thats the way I wash mine also.  Take hat out after wash cycle and let air dry,  I have a plastic hat holder that you put your hat onto and it helps keep the shape of the hat..

Just bought 2 dozen Callaway HEX control  balls  at Costco.

Damn, thanks for the advice buddy. I will for sure give this a try. I was kind of hesitant to put a black hat in there with the dish liquid that has bleach in it though. Do you also let it air dry, or do you let the dishwasher run its dry cycle?

If this ends up working out for me I can save about $80 a year on hats alone!

I run it all the way through, but the hat doesn't completely dry, so I let it air dry. I don't know that I've ever done a black hat, so let me know what happens with the first one, but I've never had any problem with other colors. The real key is the pre-treat.

Looks like I'll be the guinea pig for black then. White should be no problem (I wear white 90% of the time anyway). If that works, looks like I can salvage my red, blue and grey hats that were bound for the trash in the next few months.

Thanks!

Scotty Cameron! Well my wife has bought me a Scotty Cameron Newport 2.6 custom built to tigers specs, inc his ping grip! For my birthday! I always knew she had good taste!

Dont wanna rain on a parade but what part of that is Tigers putter? He always used a plumber's neck-heel shafted. http://mar12.hugginsandscott.com/pl/43189b_woods.jpg Beautiful putter tho.

No worries, I know it's not his style, and it's 1" shorter! this is the style I like! I just meant the loft lie grip,

Used my GolfNow rewards to buy a 588 MT 5 iron with KBS Tour 90 shaft. It was $2.95 after the rewards. Been wanting to try the Tour 90 and the 588 MT is interchangeable with the 588 TT I currently use just more forgiving. If I don't like the shaft I'll swap it with the KBS Tour in my current 5 iron.

Canada day sale on golftown website so I went for a sm5 56 black wedge with some zero friction tees. Also couple days ago got some clearance footjoy sport shoes for 57$ with an extra 15% off so in total with shipping got em for 54$

A box of ProV1X X-outs.

Never played with them before and figured for $35, might give it a shot - although, to be fair, I've never played with a new ProV1X so won't be able to compare.

    • You can pre-order an R50 here for pretty rapid shipping (these are back-ordered almost everywhere): https://www.playbetter.com/products/garmin-approach-r50-golf-launch-monitor-simulator?ghref=2301%3A700794. This is an affiliate purchase, and I'm willing to kick back lifetime ad-free Supporter membership here on TST or a 90-minute GEARS session for the cost of a regular member lesson (about 1/3 the cost). Also, I'll record a video myself soon when I get an R50.
    • Day 58 - 2024-11-27 Some quick 90-yard shots on a particular hole… before a lesson and testing out multiple Foresight Launch Monitors on GSPro.
    • Day 209 (27 Nov 24) - Easy session with the LW - short pitches replicating greens side up and downs. Finished up with the 7i and hard foam balls - making 1/2 to 3/4 swings with deliberately slowed tempo…from varied lies.
    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
