I picked up a Nike Performance II Cart Bag.  They only had one and it happened to be the colors that I liked the best (red & black).

While looking online I found a Nike VR_S Covert 2.0 3 hybrid at Dicks for $19.  I figured for $20 bucks why not give it a try.  It arrived yesterday and I got to hit it today while my daughters were getting lessons.  For the limited amount of time I was able to hit it, I liked it.  Hit a few off the toe but still managed decent distance.  It launched a little lower than I thought it would but overall it felt pretty solid on my good hits especially for the 30 degree weather I was hitting it in.

I actually think Dick's made an error on their website and it should have been listed for $119.  I think their web guy forgot a number.  Its not available anymore so it was a one day thing.

Titleist 915 driver 9.5* aldilla rogue black 70

This is going to be the "stick" for quite a while for me, I'm slowly starting to hit the driver again consistently and when I get it back I want this club to be the one I'm using, it's easily 10 yards longer than most anything else I have tried.

Oops, I forgot last time I bought a pair of black FJ DNA golf shoes, very comfortable shoe.

I just bought a new Titleist 9.5 also but ordered it with a Fujikura Motore 661 S. Did you get a D2 or D3??? 70 black? 75 grams and 3.3 torque is an interesting setup... What's your ball flight?

It's the D3, ball flight medium/low draw, slowly trying to work in more height I obviously have more success at the range but it's slowly coming around on the course, I really am looking forward to the warmer weather so I can get turned through more easier so higher flight is more easy.

Yes, I tried the more flat lie I think D1 but that didn't work well for me. I'm 5'10" and standard length and lie usually fit me every time.

Got some funky golf clothes for Christmas, from GS..took em back and exchanged them for a 50 degree SM5 with 12 degrees of bounce. Wanted to get a custom Edel, but the Vokey will have to do, for now.. :-D

I got turbulators.  I dropped by the Golf Galaxy the other day, and decided to try out a Ping G30 driver.  It felt really good, although the distances on the simulator didn't seem that great.  I couldn't resistant and bought it anyways.  I took it to the range yesterday.  It's definitely longer and straighter than my old TM Tour Burner TP.  Who says you can't buy a game. :)

    • Day 74: foam ball work tonight. Worked on slowing down and getting the feels to get the shoulder down.
    • I was recently told that Turning Dtone in New York is a nice overall resort and they’ve they have 3 courses as well as many other amenities. A quick TST search turned up older threads with a lot of comments on how difficult the courses are. Does anybody know if they have “relaxed” the courses over the years or are they still hard as far as resort courses go? I do not mind a hard course but my wife can get frustrated but if good scenery and good course conditions she may still enjoy a hard course. What are your thoughts on their courses and the resort in general? Edited for typos
    • Day 615 - 2026-06-09 Officiated in the morning and then did some Skillest lessons before getting some work in during a really long seventh inning (I think).
    • Day 280 6-9 low point control, practice missing towel. No ball, started to get the hang of hitting way in front of towel. Going to keep at it.
    • Day 9 - (9 Jun 26) - Weekly nine hole session with my good friend, I played again from one set of tees up from my usual (set up the bag 4h, 6i-Pw, Gw, Lw) to focus more on iron play in the approaches (esp longer ones on the 4's and 5's).  Used the hybrid for tee shots only, had to play irons in from there on....made for a great work on course management and dealing with iron shots I normally don't see.  Key focus was on keeping ball in play, playing to distances that set up for either GiR or nGiR's.  Played a split nine (5 on the front, 4 on the back - the turn works nicely as both nines turn and run parallel coming in - easy to jump from 5 to 15 (especially when the course is not busy)).  Worked with my friend on his course management skills - offering thoughts as a "caddie" might and helping him to confidently choose and execute the shot he was seeing.
