I believe it come from some youtube influencers. Americans dont know how this is the best they achieve

Loud mouth yanks pretty common ...? I recall being up a local ski-field here in NZ this bunch of Young Yanks on the chair heckling random skiers snowboards below laughing how cool dudes NOT!! ... 

I'm sure many, if not most, of the US players cringe at their local fans  ..  yelling out like Man-boys during the backswing is low of the low .. would these guys that likely play golf like some randoms turning up next time they play in their local comp start calling them names and yelling in backswings etc ...FKing Tools

I would agree that the American players would rather the fans not be so boorish and undisciplined, it makes the ass whooping that much more difficult to take

I wonder how much of the poor behavior is because of the choice of course.  My recollection is that when the Open Championship was first being set up to be held at Bethpage (wow, the setup to that was a quarter century ago;  the event itself was in 2002), there were some concerns about that sort of behavior too.  I feel even during that event, someone was heckled about their waggles or regrips (Sergio maybe?).   Maybe I'm misremembering.  Many I'll enqueue the book about it I read years ago, I've been meaning to get back to reading more.

I didn't watch the last Ryder Cup held in the U.S. either;  was this a problem at Whistling Straits or Hazeltine?   I think I watched the latter.

Strange. Bryson hit a flawless tee shot. Then somehow manage to three putt.

Scheffler miss the tee make a difficult second shot but then miss a simple chip in the rough. They loose the holes on the easy shots all the time really only a miracle can turn this now

Heckling has been happening for generations now with sports. Each one comes up with something stupid. It may be more prevalent now, but this is nothing new.

Nah.  It’s funny how when the new generation of kids come up all the old timers just like to blame the new generation for x,y,z.  But, in reality, every generation is just repeating the same things over and over again, and they rather not just admit that they are similar to the new generation.

Yeah, they were given Sergio Garcia hell for how long stood over the ball and waggled. I believe a few of them said something like, while we’re younger anytime now or something like that, while he was over the ball.

Just chuck it up to a regional thing, man. Some areas are much more boisterous than others. Some areas are just more crass than other others. If you live with 365 days a year then you’re less likely to care when you act that way towards people who hardly ever see it.

Heckling hasnt really been a big part of golf at all.

Nobody pretend there has never been bad words and wars in human history 🙂

English football hooligans sometimes actually find humour when doing it. But that is football not golf.

Congrats Europe. I loved to be able to get to bed but had he made that makeable putt it all would take to win two tied matches with plenty of mental boosts to achieve it.

 

Nice to see åberg finally win a single. Only one good with an off day.

Was looking forward to watching the Ryder Cup this weekend, but after watching about 30 minutes the first day, I had my finger on the FF button the rest of the time. Skipped through the second day and don't think I'll watch any of the final round. Not much excitement in a total blowout. And the Americans demanded to be paid while the Euros did not. How about a refund?

Their performance the first two days does make me wonder what we paid them for!

Today was fun to watch - have to say Justin Rose and Cam Young put on a great  show that went to the last putt for birdie that gave the US its first full point of the day, to see DeChambeau battle back after it looked like he was going to be railroaded off the course, both sides battled hard - shot after shot.  While it was pretty much foregone that Euro would win heading into the day - it was definitely not the landslide predicted.

Speaking as a Euro supporter...

...just the smallest, tiniest asterisk against this one.

In future, bring a 13th (spare)  man (Captain's pick). If he doesn't play all he's cost you is a flight, hotel room, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No envelopes, please.

Or. In the event of a non-playing Captain and a man drops out, Captain has to play in his place. You choose. Bring a 13th man or Captain plays.

Stupid to have the Ryder Cup at BP Black.  New Yorkers are jerks and I say that as a former NYer.

And something similar happened when the first Open was held there and there weren't any 'influencers' back then, nor much of an Internet.
