I completely agree it just doesnt feel right without a hat on

I have to wear a hat when I play. I have a lot of hats, but right now I have 7 hats in the rotation. A fitted Redsox hat, a fitted Royals hat, Ping, Scotty Cameron, Pebble Beach, Prairie Dunes and a "Hawaii" hat I bought at one of the 10,000 ABC stores in Waikiki (for $5).

Frequent rotation helps them not get so --- ---

I usually wear a flat cap to play but I'll sometimes play without one if the sun's not out. I'm thinking about getting a visor though because it can get a bit hot with the flat cap on when it's really hot outside. I play in sunglasses too if the weather warrants it, never had a problem with them falling off or anything.

I don't wear glasses and a hat. I like dark hats and that makes it too dark when I wear both. and I lost a pair of coyote sunglasses once and don't want that to happen to my O's.

I hope not....really hope not. He's done well. I want to see him continue playing his recruits.

Hoping that they'll dominate NC football in 2009!!! Proud of them.....just wished I lived in Greenville again...so far away on gamedays.

Oh....and talking about hats that suck....

Has anyone started wearing those painter's hats that Villegas has been wearing? Thankfully I've not seen them on the course yet.

He does have game. But everytime I see him with one of those hats on, I keep waiting for the head grounds keeper to come tell him, "Stop practicing on company time! Now pick up the range balls and go empty the trash on the tee boxs".

I feel naked on the course without a baseball cap. I have tried visors when I was younger (and had hair), but I don't really like them either. Without a hit I feel like I can't see as well - like the sun is always in my eyes. I like the shielding of a hat. The hats I wear must be lightweight and must fit well. I hate structured hats - I prefer the non-structured style.

Maybe wear a hat and remove it before a tee shot and than put it back on for the rest of the hole.

I sometimes wear my Nike hat when I play, but I don't always wear it because they can get annoying sometimes. I like them though.

I have to wear a hat, if I don't my long a$$ hair gets in my face and I can't even see the ball I'm trying to hit. I need a haircut and I was by hair cuttery the other day but GG is two doors down and I decided to go in and buy a new shaft instead

Hats don't bother me at all either, long time baseball player as well.  During warmer weather though I much prefer my Tilley hat to a baseball cap.  I pretty much go from that to a toque once it starts getting cold.  Though I got a couple nice logo hats for christmas so that may change.

I shave my head so I can't see going with a visor myself.  I hate to think of the tan lines.

I always play with a ballcap, always have. The only time it becomes a hassle is when it's raining because the water drips off the brim.

I wear a cap because I look good in hats. I also like to pretend golf is a sport and a cap is just part of the illusion.

    • I believe that @billchao has suggested that I fall into this category.  .... Although technically I believe he referred to me as an "ass-clown". ... Which at the time seemed like a compliment. 🤷‍♂️
    • LIV golf actually got 2 pages in this month's GOLF magazine. It was kind of interesting. The magazine walked a thin line between bagging on the shortcomings and trying to build it up.  The magazine's main point seemed to be that the managers play a critical roll for each team in LIV. They compared it to baseball managers. To which I though "hmm.... ???"
    • Of course. I was just exaggerating for fun.  At the start of Hogan's era it is estimated that roughly half a million Americans played golf. By the end of his era, about 3.5 million.  During Tiger's era roughly 19 million at the start and nearly 30 million by the end of it.  To look at it another way during Hogan's era less than 0.5% of all high schools had a golf team. Compared to nearly half of all high schools during Tiger's era. If you really want to see a big difference more than 25 times as many Junior High Schools had golf teams during Tiger's era than did High Schools during Hogan's era.  And this says nothing of international competition. Up until 1974 the British used a different golf ball than did the Americans. It wasn't until 1990 that the Brits officially outlawed their "small ball". It wasn't until the 1960's that Americans really started to play in Europe at all. Very few Americans played The Open from the 1930's until the 1960's. The travel sucked and the prize money wasn't worth the trip. Remember air travel to Europe wasn't really a thing until at least the mid-1950's. Before that you would spend 2 weeks at sea.  It is simply not arguable that Hogan faced any where near as stiff of competition as did Tiger. In golf, yes, you play against the course, but the lowest score wins. It's much easier to win if far FAR fewer players are playing.  Personally, I'd suggest that the competition was way better vs Tiger than vs Jack. But at least that's a discussion. I'm sorry but arguing for Hogan's era it's no contest. Tiger definitively and definitely and by every measure faced tougher competition than did Hogan.
    • I watch Bryson and Phil.... on YouTube. Does that count? 🙃
    • Hilarious. Completely ridiculous hyperbole.
