21-35 and carry - Thanks for the wide gap of ages! (Next year I'm in the 35+ category )

I have always walked and carried. I just can't get into my game when I'm in a motorized cart, and never really liked the idea of the push/pull cart.

I am 33 yrs old and absolutely use a pull cart now. For the 1st few months I was using a stand bag but would find that my back would be killing me and have an adverse affect on my swing. I was able to get an awesome pull cart for $100 and I love to walk the course and love the pull cart, the only way I will play now is with the pull cart.

21 and use a push cart.Β  I play alot better when I walk, it gets me into a rythm and I can't shake off bad shots when wlkaing.Β  It also gives me time to think about my next shot and how the course feels to me.

I got an old Sun Mountain push cart this past season and I love it. Β I carried my first year playing, and by the end of a round the LAST thing I would want to do is pick up my bag after hitting yet ANOTHER lousy shot. The push cart is definitely the way to go for me.

I'm 27 and I have a pull cart but I plan to ditch it this year. It apparently makes me look like a dork according to the beer girls and I felt particularly lazy this year when I played in my company's league and the woman were carrying while I was pulling a cart.

That's pretty funny William. I am sure I look like a dork too being that I am the only one in my age group that is using a pull cart. I don't care my back kills after a few holes so this is my only option besides a cart but I enjoy walking the course and will continue to use the pull cart and maybe just maybe get a few followers ha

Hmmm, it might not be the cart that makes you look like a dork....j/k.

Until recently I only rode, but I picked up a SM Speed Cart for $60 and it's great.Β Β  Plus I feel better walking than I did riding.Β  I'm 38, not a dork, not do I care what the beer girls think or what others do.

44 and carry. I have a push cart but oddly enough it hurts my back when I use it so it's sitting in the garage. With a dual strap bag I hardly even notice the weight, even on those stinking hot midwestern summer days.

Under 21, carry. My bag is light compared to what I used to carry back in my caddying days so its not a big deal for me at all.

Got a push cart from my last job but never use it. It feels like the annoying nature of riding around greens with the added walking.

Waiting out the 2 feet of snow that just dropped on the course....

I definately go push cart over carry or riding.

I like the push cart because I don't feel any shoulder/back fatigue, and I can load up my bag with rain gear, snacks, maybe a gatorade/beer or two, and not be affected by the added weight.Β Plus ifΒ I have all my own refreshements on board,Β I can wave theΒ beer girls off and avoid her taunts and ridicule of push cart use!

And if does start raining, the umbrella on the cart works like a charm to stay dry between shots.

I did start with a pull cart, which I found annoying, but switching to the push cart made a huge diffenence in comfort/manuverability.

I'm hoping a Upro Go will be under the christmas tree this year, which the push cart will also readily accept, instead of in my pocket or clipped to bag if I carried.

I'm 29 (until Dec. 30th...hehe) and I use a push cart.

It's easier. It's got a built in drink and scorecare holder. It makes me more likely to walk. I have a stand bag and, on occasion, will carry. But, a push cart is the way to go. You're still walking.

I have a Sun Mountain Microcart and it's great. As long as it's not excessively cold or I'm on a course that rolls so much that walking is unpleasant, I walk.

40s, carry.

When I can't carry, I'll pare down the set and get a lighter bag. When that doesn't cut it, I'll quit.

i'm 40.Β  i used to carry when i did most of my golfing on the back nine, early morning.Β  i finally got a cart, i like it much better for reasons others have said -- i can load up the bag, etc..

i've played 2 rounds with "kids".Β  one was a college player, another a high school.Β  both came with their dads, who rode in a cart and the kids walked.Β  they both made comments that anything other than "carrying" was lame.Β  both ended up riding in the cart by the end of the round.

if you need to look macho by carrying, go ahead.Β  for me though, i'm golfing not showing off at the gym.

Well said ej. It is funny how some of the other threads say how brand doesn't matter how it is performance based. Well that is exactly what the push cart does for me. It enhances my performance by taking the stress off of my back and allow me to swing to my fullest on every shot and hole. Love walking the course with my pull cart.

I have a push cart. I feel stupid as a healthy person riding in a cart and my back gets baked at about 16 holes so carrying was out of the question.

Your ages ain't even close : )

I'm 55 and I carry my bag unless my wife is playing too, and in that case we ride.Β  I find that my back hurts more with a pull-cart then if I carry.Β  I like walking and carrying as I use golf as a day off from my triathlon training.
