I really liked tonights episode of Homeland.  Brody is screwed.

It is so improbable that he could have got in that position in the first place but, hey, it's TV. Nice twist.

Compared to the first few episodes of the year that were a little too focused in Dana, I'll take it.

I watched the first two episodes of Black Mirror.  Holy shit the first was riveting.  The second, well, notsomuch.

The first episode of Black Mirror plays like a political thriller. The rest aren't as fast paced, 15 Million Credits is the slowest paced episode, yeah, probably too long, but the last 10 minutes was riveting, at least for me. The next episode is a good one - the what if everyone had super Google Glass implanted inside their bodies.

The next series (season), there's reconstructing your deceased loved one based on social media output, the second, is faster paced and hard hitting, a seething commentary on technological rubbernecking, the last, a this could probably happen now political scenario where a foul mouthed appeal to the lowest common denominator cgi cartoon becomes a candidate.

Yeah, the second episode was slow, but I still thought it was an interesting commentary and I think the slow pace was important to the story. I really liked the third one.

Yeah, the third one, The Entire History of You got a lot of buzz when it aired. If you didn't have such a device, would you have the pent up jealously he did? I think he didn't, he'd have lived in ignorant bliss.

Here's the showrunner's (Charlie Brooker) thoughts on the media's treatment of Susan Boyle, it's somewhat related to the second episode. NSFW - language.

Homeland season 3 was a train wreck.

I haven't watched this yet but I'm fully expecting them to rip it to shreds:

Homeland season 3 was a train wreck.

I haven't watched this yet but I'm fully expecting them to rip it to shreds:

I thought it was pretty great (season 3 that is). There were some weird points, and some times that it seemed like the narrative was winding. But taken as a whole, I think it was a pretty good season. Come back after you watch the finale.

I thought it was a pretty good too.  Sure, its a bit far-fetched, but not as much as season 2, in my opinion.

That's the magic of Hollywood.

Season 4 is going to be a big change in the story line. I'm curious to see where they take it.

I watched the finale. The video I posted is a review show, not the actual episode. And for some reason they don't rip it apart. They point out a few things but overall seem "okay" with it.

IMO (and my wife's), the whole season sucked. This does more to talk about it.

I misread your first post about it. I thought you were saying you hadn't seen the finale.

I agree that the season had some weird points, but overall, I think they ended the season pretty well. It'll be really interesting to see where they take season 4 with Carrie (presumably) off in Istanbul, Saul out of the CIA, and Brody out of the picture. It seems like the whole Iran angle got played out, so I'm not sure where they go from here. I just hope it has nothing to do with Brody. That chapter is closed, and I think dwelling on it will get really boring really fast.

It's a great show. I'm really excited for season 3. The creator and head writer, Steven Moffat, is also the head writer for another of my favorites: Dr. Who.

One of the reviewers, his brother is a writer, not for Homeland, but I think that's why he, at least, is easy on Homeland. What the Flick also reviews The Walking Dead, an abysmal wreck of a show despite the ratings, sorry TWD fans, but that's my humble opinion after gutting out 3 seasons so maybe that's why they're easy on Homeland if they think TWD is still worth reviewing, critically, not for audience numbers.

The new Doctor will be Peter Capaldi from The Thick of It. Looking forward to the new season but won't be till August.

Yeah. It'll be sad to see Matt Smith go. He is definitely one of my favorite Doctors (right there with 10 and 4 as my favorites). Capaldi will definitely be a different take on the doctor.
