Lived through it… Was a big deal in Erie in, what, 2003? I'll be watching this show soon as well.

I'd be really interested in what you have to say about this Erik - what the show got wrong and right.

The Expanse is such a great show, it kills me it got cancelled. Hopefully someone picks it up and provides it a decent budget. If not, at least we know the book series will be finished.

Has anyone checked out The Staircase on Netflix yet?   My wife and I have been watching two episodes a shot for the last couple days.

I can’t decide whether or not this guy is guilty.

It's a fantastic series. I bought the DVD when it was released. He is clearly guilty.

SPOILER ALERT

The wounds Kathleen suffered were so violent - could you really have 35 lacerations like that from falling down the stairs? And his manner during his phone call was totally the opposite that you'd expect from someone with his personality and background.

The blow-poke was a red herring from the start, and I never saw that as the murder weapon. The fact that the police hid their knowledge of it is proof of their dishonesty and desire to frame someone who is not necessarily innocent, not something which excuses him.

What about the German episode? Coincidences do happen, but really? Like that? TWO women dying after falling down stairs with blood everywhere? Come on!

I think the daughters were just pathologically dutiful and brainwashed to a point because the thought and fear of losing their adoptive father AND  stepmother as well as their mother outweighed everything else in their lives and I saw them as excessively needy and I think he played on their vulnerability and took advantage of them emotionally.

I think David Rudolph is extremely bright and competent, but he had an interest in winning the case that extended beyond proving Peterson's innocence. I think he was seduced by the production of the documentary and had to see the narrative out. I think he became very aware of how good he looked and sounded.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Netflix releases so many standup specials, it's impossible to keep up but Nanette, was different than most and I didn't expect to be affected so deeply.

Yeah yeah, Tom Cruise, Mission Impossible Fallout.

But the original TV series was so good. Original theme the best. Good writing, teamwork, great cast.

I'm starting to like Westworld less and less. I'll watch season 3 when it comes out, but it's kind of lame. I compared season 2 to a bad M. Night Shyamalan movie, like they wrote contrived plots and bad character decisions just to work a twist at the end. It was kind of cool in season 1, but they really should have gone a different direction to drive the plot in season 2.

My wife and I enjoyed The Good Place. Can't wait for season 3. Just finished the 2nd season of GLOW, too. Great show.

Yeah, same here with WW. There were a couple of great individual episodes, but on the whole, disappointing, especially when sci-fi and westerns are right up my alley.

I watched the second season of The Good Place a second time, so funny.

Only got in the first episode of Glow. Too much tv.

I've been putting off watching season two of WW.  I struggled so badly to get through season one it's put me off of this one.  For those of you whom have seen it, does Thandie Newton still spend a lot of time naked?

I do watch current series in Netflix and I don't have access in HBO right now but when it comes to my favorite tv show I like both The Office and Parks and Recreation.

I finished Succession, couldn't help but binge it and now I'm paying for it, wouldn't say I really liked the show, it was ok, but had to see how it would end, it's just full of terrible awful people. Watching it is almost akin to rubbernecking.

I watched The Americans religiously since the first season.  I have strange interest in Cold War era history so that only added to the fact that it was a wonderfully done show.  I'll feel empty inside once March rolls around and there isn't another season premiering...but I can rest easy knowing they finished the story before the show went to shit.

I didn't binge it - I watched it each week. I liked it, but didn't love it at all.

I recorded it because I honestly forgot what it was about, but saw it was Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman.

I'm glad I did.

Making It is hilarious, fun, happy, and uplifting. There's not a single bit of negativity, and the show makes you happier. It makes you feel good. It makes you feel like you want to go out and create something.

It's great. I'm glad I accidentally recorded it. If you can, record it now and watch the first two episodes.

    • Exactly correct.   I was absolutely certain about the penalty (none here), but the bit about where they play from can be really confusing the first time you read it.  In my big paper rule book, i used colored highlighters to make it clear.  Good thing I did, at the Cascades there's little to no cell service, so using the rules app on the phone wasnn't possible.
    • Taking a crack it, but looks pretty clear. 11.1  Ball in Motion Accidentally Hits Person or Outside Influence. a. No Penalty to Any Player If a player’s ball in motion accidentally hits any person (including the player) or outside influence: There is no penalty to any player. This is true even if the ball hits the player, the opponent or any other player or any of their caddies or equipment. Reading further down it looks like they have to play the ball as it lies. No replay from the previous spot.
    • I had an interesting one yesterday, a local qualifier for the US Senior Open, at the Cascades Course at the Homestead.  Well, first things first, the VSGA arrnged for the officials to play the Cascades on Monday at the players' practice round rate.  Its lots of fun, rather old-style (built in the 1920s).  anyway, a player missed a short putt, and (apparently embarrassed) took a step to be ready to tap the ball back in.  The ball lipped out, and hit the player's foot.  I was nearby, and they waved me over, and asked "What do we do now?"  I was pretty sure of the ruling, but asked them to wait for a few seconds while i double-checked.  I did have it correct, even though its one of the more confusing rules in the book right now.  I'll leave the correct answer out for now, in case anyone wants to guess, or research it, and post their ruling.
    • I am going to try to try to have more intent with my shot routines. I saw this process in a YouTube video I watched last night.  Decide what you want to happen - Yardage, shot shape, start line Visualize what you want to happen - Straight forward, but one tip he suggested was while focusing the shot take in a slow deep breath (like 4 seconds in duration), hold for 1 second, then exhale slowly (like 4 seconds again). There is some evidence to show that this rhythmic style of breathing can help in calming heart rate and improving focus.  Feel what you want to happen. - Your 1-2 practice swings. Like if you need to hit your PW at 90%, feeling that.  Commit to what you want to happen on the ball.  Post-shot routine, where you either gain confidence from a good shot or learn from a mistake to foster a growth mentality. - If it was a good shot then give yourself some good vibes/feedback. If the shot didn't turn out, then access why to learn from it. I am going to add, don't get negative.
    • I mean, if you like GZ, and would drink it more often during a round than water, then keep drinking that. If you walk 18 holes, on a hot summer day, and drink 2 20-oz waters or 4 20-oz GZ. You will benefit more from the 4 20-oz GZ because it's like 99.99% water, lol. Yea, if flavored water makes you drink more water, then that works better.  I would just monitor the salt intake relative to your own health. I am sure some people might have to be careful. GZ is 280 mg salt. So, 4 of those is over 1000 mg. It is over 4 hours. That is like half the daily recommended intake of salt. You are probably losing some of your salt reserves playing golf. Long winded way of saying, it depends on the person.
