Actually Nike matched the weight and even the design of his SC with his Method putter. Same measurements, everything.

Of course the design is the same, it's still and Anser 2 style putter. Why wouldn't he want the weight and LLL the same?

I'm actually suprised there havent been more lawsuits (Maybe there were, just not public) about people stealing IP.

Ping's patent on the original Anser design expired in 1984.

I actually read somewhere that Tiger's Method putter is specially designed for him with Scotty specs...So it's basically a Scotty with a Nike Logo....I feel that Nike offered him more money, knowing he lost $22 Mil in endorsements to use the Method so it sells....Just my opinion with that though!

He did used to drain a boat load of putts. He used to stripe his driver and put hit approaches tight as well. He seems generally off. Sort of like a 1979 Jack Nicklaus. Jack retooled in the spring of 1980 then played some of the best golf of his career. I wouldn't be surprised if Tiger experiences something similar. Time will tell.

Of course it is, why would he want to change the lie, length, or weight of his putter? If Tiger had gone to Ping or Bettinardi or anyone else his new putter would have the same specs too.

OK...in the Ryder Cup practice rounds Tiger's been using a Method again...BUT this time it's not a anser/blade, it appears to be the Method 003:

He has also used his Scotty, but with slower greens it looks like he could be bringing the Method back...

Anyone else think Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker are a really odd couple?

How would you know? It was obviously a decision not taken lightly.

If it wasn't taken lightly, why did he change the next day? Owned.

Tiger is the hardcore hustler, living it up and fist pumping on the golf course. Steve is the family man who wear pink shirts and cry when he wins.

They work well though, as evidence of the last Presidents Cup.

Red, sky blue, and grey do not go. Striped long sleeve polo underneath an argyle print vest. The polo and vest are just plain ugly. The pants are okay.

Back on topic, Method 003 is a similar to the California Del Mar in design?

The pale blue and red go well together imo. Also the stripes are subtle enough to work with the argyle... i'm curious what kind of a fashionista you look like when you golf. :)

but back on topic... Looks like a standard heel shafted half mallet. Similar to Del Mar, Rife Abaco, and just about every other manufacturer that makes them.

I'm surprised he'd switch from a blade to another type of putter in the middle of the tournament. I assume he's been practicing with it and has developed some confidence with it.

Could you please take the outfit discussion somewhere else?

Perhaps using a mid-mallet give him a bit more weight behind the club, to roll the ball better on slower greens.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
