210 yards out with a 4i on the #1 HC hole on the course for an eagle. Without a doubt, the best shot I will probably ever hit in my life.

Furthest i holed out from, number 13 Tam O'Shantern golf course, Canton, ohio. Sliced my drive right, i hit a nice 60 yard shot to an elevated green that went in for birdie.

Though my almost favorite was at a scramble, My dad hit one real close, about a foot, from 50 yards or so. He just tells me not to worry, I told him, well i can always hole it out. I then rattle the ball off the pin almost dunking it in for a eagle. Needless it rolled to about 5 feet and we took my dad's shot ;b

165 yards out with a 4i, wind into my face and it was raining.
My first eagle too, not too much skill involved. I just got really lucky.

I've only holed out at the grand distance of around 35 yds with my PW.... but that's just for now. I'm getting better and expect better things to happen.

104 yards with a PW. It was like slow motion, 3rd shot on a par 5, bounced once on the green and then straight in the hole for eagle. Helped me to shoot my lowest score at my home course (81).

My neighbor was the PGA Pro at Tammy up until this year. I play there all the time. Was it on the Hills course or the Dales course?

I've never had any significant hole out. The farthest I've holed out from is about 30 yards on a Par 5 on my home course. It's usually where I am in two but after a bad second shot I was laying three and it was for birdie.

180 yard or so approach shot on a par 4. The pin was tucked away in the back a bit uphill so I didn't exactly see where the ball landed but I knew it was a good shot and it had to be on the green. Didn't even know I holed it until I got the green, I spent a good 5 minutes looking around the green for my ball...no sign of the ball...figured I hit it long into the brushes behind the green until my friend found it in the hole!

another time, not as long, but watching a 100 yard wedge shot land right into the hole was something of amazement to witness. not a single bounce, ball just landed straight into the hole and stayed.

Dales course, the short part four up hill. I love that hole, always try to drive it. But this was back in highschool golf, i had a whicked slice and ended up near the short tea boxes on the par three near the road.

Man there greens are awesome this year, got to play there few weeks ago, been about 6 years. I love the dales, just a great course that rewards great shots.

Though i do like the hills as well, the par three's on the hills are tough man. hole 4, that downhill par three with the steep slope over the back, number 9, all up hill, i never hit that one. Hole 13 i think, is tough visually for me. Hole 17 is just wrong, especially when you have to play it fromt the back tees, 200 + yards with nasty bunkers.

Can't say Ive ever had a hole out, but ive left several shots from 100 yards peeking on the edge, and a few par 3s to about 2 feet. Ive chipped in dozens of times, but a hole out is hard......

If I ever get happy with myself for finishing 12th or 15th, someone needs to put my clubs away and I'll take up tiddlywinks.

Haven't holed out from long range before but came very close - I hit a shot from about 220 yards a few weeks back which hit the pin and looks to have rolled down pin and nearly went in but the pin sprang back and popped the ball about 4 feet away - disappointing to see but a very satisfying birdy all the same.

    • Rule 1.2b refers you to a section in the Committee Procedures (Section 5I) that helps explain what a Code of Conduct may (and may not) do.  Defining acceptable behavior (including smoking) and applying Stroke of DQ penalties are certainly within the Committee's authority. That Code of Conduct certainly should be available, either in written form or in a webpage accessible to all.  It may not show up on the "standard local rules" for an organization, the "hard card", as it sounds like its a policy of this particular golf course. Assuming that's the case it should show up on the Notice to Players for this particular event.  If you can't find it, ask someone, send an email, try to find out.   In summary, yes the Committee can DQ (or withdraw) a Player for smoking, even before or between rounds.  But its up to you to go from there, communication is the key here.

    • Hmm... I not sure I completely understand. If the course has a no smoking policy, then he shouldn't smoke at the course.  I'm assuming since you are aware of the policy, it must be written down somewhere.  As far as getting disqualified from the tournament, I would think that would be up to the committee. But it feels like it is within their power to disqualify, so why take the chance?
