Big deal. Let her play. It's not like she is related to the Press sisters, or anything like that.

This issue is reminiscent of Renée Richards, a transgendered tennis pro who was a cause célèbre in the late 1970s. Richards did squat, as will Bagger, most likely.

Big deal. Let her play.

It can also lead to a fantastic made-for-TV match play against Fred Funk.

Lawless won the women's Re-Max Lond Drive competition back in 2008 and was not allowed to participate this year. Should be interesting in the future with more and more transgender females enter competitions. I'm surprise the Williams sisters aren't transgender females.

When someone takes steriods or growth hormones for all their life then want to compete against athletes that never took them, seems like the playing field isn't level. Even if it was legal, in whatever state they were in, they now have an advantage.

Part of me (the male at birth part) says, "Good grief - it looks like a guy!"
The other part of me (still male all these years says, "Dang, don't get her angry."

On a side note - love her name - Lana Lawless. I'm guessing it is intentional to sound like Lucy Lawless, Xena: Warrior Princess!

He/She said, ""I look like Vanna White," said Lawless, who moved to Palm Springs in the spring after residing in Riverside for 24 years. "But I sound like Barry White."

Seriously, Lawless thinks he/she looks like Vanna White?

Here's what she looks like: http://celebgalz.com/lana-lawless-la...hampion-photo/

While it is very unlikely that he/she will amount to anything on the tour, this little change opens the door. What if Sergio wanted to have gender reassignment?

Exactly. Which is why they passed it/dropped the rule.

People think there'll be a conga line of guys lining up to have a bit of snipping, tucking and implanting, thinking they'll clean up on the LPGA Tour. It won't happen. None of them would be good enough and if anyone was, the rule would still be in place.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Have we become so PC that we're all supposed to ignore the fact that men are born with a natural advantage in strength and quickness? I don't care how much you mutilate your genitals, it doesn't negate that advantage.

Lawless doesn't really have any interest in the LPGA, she went after them because the Long Drive competition adopted the LPGA rules this year so it made sense for them to be included in her suit.

I am so glad I was educated before PC became the progressive's mission. There is plainly something mentally wrong with someone who discovers that they were born with the wrong sex.

And simply having a Doctor perform a mutilating series of surgical procedures cannot bestow a different sex upon someone.

Our love affair with technology is out of control, because so few people understand the ability to do something does not make it a good thing to do.

It ain't bragging if you can do it.

Frankly this is an ignorant post. There are people who genetically have DNA that make them sexually ambiguous. Also, if someone is not sexually comfortable in the body they were born with they have the right to change this. Why should they live their entire lives as a lie based on how they feel sexually?
