All,

Over the last 3 years I have accumulated 4 putters, but I am thinking of just keeping 2 & selling the other 2.  Here is the putters I have:

- 33" Scotty Cameron Squareback #1

- 34" Nike Method 004

- 35" Odyssey 2-Ball SRT (White Hot)

- 33" Rife 2-Bar hybrid mallet

I can put equally as good or bad with all the putters.  Which 2 would you keep?

In my clicgear.gif 2.0 Push Cart and callaway.gifgolf bag are -

 Z-Star driver 10.5  Mashie 3 and 7 metals  Mashie 4 hyrbird  Z-Star 4-PW Irons  cleveland.gifCG Black 48, 52, 56 degree wedges  GoLo putter  upro mx+ gps

I would say both 33" this way at least your set up stays the same

I'd keep whicheve ones are not the 2-Ball mallet or 2-Bar hybrid mallet because I don't care for those gimicky looking putters.

I would keep the Nike and the Scotty, but if you are looking for money the Nike and the Scotty are worth the most.

If you do keep the Nike and Scotty, I'd either shorten the 34 to 33 or put a plug in the 33 to make it a 34 so that the setup is the same for you...

I personally would keep the scotty and the nike if you are making the decision as to which are the nicer "looking" and IMO better quality putters.  HOWEVER I know personally when I am struggling with my putting I like a completely different look, so if you are the same I would recommend keeping the Scotty (I am bias) and one of the mallet putters.  That way if you do start to struggle with one you have something that looks completely new and a "fresh" start.  JAT.

Keep the two which look and feel the best to you when you stand over them.

For me it would be the Scotty and the Nike.

Just keep them all, you will regret it if you don't LOL.

For gaming though, I would take all 4 to the putting green and spend a good deal of time with each hitting similar length putts with each one and similar break putts with each one.  You will probably identify one that is better on long putts, one that is better on short putts, and hopefully one that is a good compromise and that is the one you should game.  Keep that one in your bag and stick with it.  I would probably keep the others and occasionally game one if your star putter has a stale period.  But hey, if they start a golf hoarders show, I may be the first subject!

Too me it's like having four kids...which one are you going to give up?  None, you brought them into this world now deal with it...

If I could only keep two, I would keep the Scotty and the Two-ball.  That way you have two that are very different, but yet excellent putters.

Callaway AI Smoke TD Max 10.5* | Cobra Rad Tour 16.5* | Dark Speed 21* | Titleist U500 4i | T100 5-P | Vokey 50/8* F, 54/10* S,  58/10* S | Scotty Cameron Squareback 1

I'd keep the Cameron Squareback and sell/trade-in the other 3 and get another Scotty!

My Tools of Ignorance:

Driver: Ping I20 9.5*
Woods/Hybrids: Cobra AMP 3W and 3 HY

Irons: Cobra AMP 4-GW

Wedges: Callaway Forged Copper 56* and 60*

Putters: Scotty Cameron  35" (Several of the flow neck blade variety)

Ball: Bridgestone B330-RX and Srixon Z-Star

Bag: Nike Performance Carry

You say you putt equally good and bad with them all, if thats really true, then keep the Scotty and the Nike.  Both are awesome looking putters and sell the others.  If you could use an upgrade somewhere else, like driver or irons OR could use money on something else in your life then sell the Nike and the Scotty they are the most valuable.  Just my $0.02

If your stroke is straight back through, go Rife and 2-Ball

If your stroke swings on an arc, go Nike and Scotty.

Thank for all the advice!  It's been cold & I've only played three times since 1 Dec.  All three times I used the Nike Method. I love the feel & look of it but I have a problem with long putts.

Gill, all the putters are face balanced so shouldn't they all work for a straight back through stroke?

Actually, that's a pretty decent idea!

The SC Squareback is not face-balanced. It might have very little toe hang, but it is not face-ballanced. Scotty Cameron will not make a face-balanced putter because he doesn't think anyone should use one since it doesn't fit what he thinks is the "ideal" putting stroke.

As for your original question, if you had to sell two of them sell the two that you use the least. Or you could just keep all four putters, but I have to warn you that it might lead to more putter purchases. Not taking into account the two I recently sold, I have twelve putters and counting.......

I'd say Scotty and Odyssey in terms of value, but whatever feels the most comfortable to you. Forget initial performance. This can be practiced. Comfort is key.
