Always golf shoes.  My feet slip a bit in tennis shoes and Crocs are an insult.  They went out of style about 5 years ago.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

Were they ever in style?  They rank right up there with velcro runners. I won't even let my kids wear them.

This is me too.  Which I choose depends on the course and the weather.

I think at one point in time they were.  Like I said though, they went out of style 5 years ago, yet some people apparently never got that memo.  Some of the people I work with wear Crocs all the time and think they are the coolest thing ever.

My girlfriend is a clothing designer, so shes pretty up to date on whats in style.  One time I joking said to her that I was going to buy a pair of Crocs golf shoes and I almost thought she was going to kill me. LOL

I've always played in golf shoes but I use to occasionally practice in running shoes if I forgot my golf shoes at home or whatever... however, my golf shoes stay in my car now so I really don't ever go without them anymore.

I definitely, on the course, wear golf shoes whenever I play. However, when I practice at a range with mats, I find that wearing golf shoes makes me feel a little higher up than normal, and I found that my sneakers are nearly the same hight in the sole part of the shoe, so I use those when I hit ranges with mats.  But, whenever I'm on grass practicing or playing, I wear golf shoes.

I could probably rock those for a day, but after that it would be a hassle to play in.

I have been told by my golf mentor, "Practice the same way you play, always hit to a target, make every ball count on the driving range". So it's golf shoes for me.

hehe......these look like Pikachu golf shoes. ;)

I'm not into the traditional golf clothes or golf shoes.

Athletic shoes is part of Golf. We are athletes.

I think most golf shoes are terrible because of the stiffness, weight and rigidity, but they look nice.  I just ordered a pair of True Shoes and I am pretty excited to try them out.  Anybody else have a pair?

I was so glad to see the Sensei offering this year and immediately ordered two pair of them.  I because before that I would wear the white/navy PHX Trues to the airport when I traveled because they were just that comfortable.  Since these are more tennis shoe looking I likely won't even wear the Sensei's on the course because I like the PHX for on course play but off the course the Sensei's will get all the action.  I immediately noticed how much better my hamstrings, low back, and knees felt after a long practice session and that is the reason why I am hooked on those shoes.  If they were hot pink I would still wear them !!

I will hit in Crocs, which are pretty close to Trues, when I'm taking some swings in my garage but I'd never wear them to the course!

    • I remember those days......seems so long ago, when times were more simple, and life moved slower.😃
    • Depends on your definition of range finder.  There was a time I used my phone with a GPS/golf app and checked distances but wasn't really bothered enough whether it was 78 or 80 or 82.  I just thought approximately 80 yards and hit.  I essentially use the distance markers on the course to gauge distance and play and if that is considered a range finder then every time.  If not, virtually never
    • Last Sunday played a tournament.  Bad round in general, particularly short game, since I hadn't touched my clubs for 2 months.  But on 17 I hit a great drive.  A bit risky because there is a water hazard on the right side of the fairway.  Was actually the wrong line and length because another foot and I would have been in the hazard entering it half way up.  But from there hit a great 4 hybrid and was around 60 or so yards to the green though just off the fairway.  Brilliant PW and within2 or 3 feet.  Made the putt
    • My only eagle. #18 Far Corner Golf Course Par 5 It was a cold spring day about 15 years ago and I was playing with my oldest friend who is a good player, but more importantly very competitive. Since 7th grade we would play board games, ball sports, table games, cards, you name it, with bragging rights as the trophy. If we ever bet, it’s just for $5 or a beer. I hit a decent drive and I had 180 to the pin over water. I was going to lay up because it was cold and I was really just starting to play more than a couple of times a year, but he said, “You can’t lay up you wuss!” Challenge! I took out my 5 wood and somehow hit a beautiful high shot that landed and stayed on the severely sloping back to front green. I had about 20 feet to the pin, but like at the Masters had to putt 90 degrees away from the hole and just let it go down hill. I did just that, hit it and it slowly worked its way down. Plunk. Eagle. I still have the ball.
