Here it is, I think he was dipping too lol.  What stands out to me is the comment, "there are a lot worse things that go on out here."

Matt Every leads at Sony, but makes controversial remark about pot charge

Tom Edrington – AHN Sports Reporter

Honolulu, HI, United States (AHN Sports) – Matt Every shot a 64 on Friday that gave him the 36-hole lead at the Sony Open but it was what he said afterward that created come disbelief.

Every sat for a post-round interview with the Golf Channel’s Kelly Tilghman. After going over his day on the course, Tilghman asked Every about how his life has gone following his July 2010 arrest during the John Deere Classic on marijuana possession charges.

Every struggled with the question, gave some awkward responses then came up with this:

“There’s a lot worse stuff going on out here than what I got in trouble for,” he told Tilghman.

Tilghman didn’t followup to that response but later, Golf Channel analyst Nick Faldo couldn’t help but notice Every’s comment.

“I don’t think he did himself any favors,” Faldo said tersely.

Every was disciplined by the PGA Tour after the 2010 arrest. He was suspended from the tour for 90 days.

It is uncertain how the tour will respond to Every’s Friday statement.

Big deal. He smokes weed, he got busted for smoking weed, he doesn't feel bad about getting busted for smoking weed because he doesn't think smoking weed is a bad thing in the first place. Neither do I.

The real crime in progress is his freaking putter. He looks like he's Swiffering the green

WTF? Whoa.

And this isn't even the case. He and 2 other friends got arrested for possession and all the charges were later dropped. He has always denied that he was personally in possession of the drug.

And I agree with you, cigarettes and alcohol are worse for your health and others around you then what some weed will ever be, yet they will always be considered acceptable in society for some reason.

It was such a complete non-story, yet Tilghman decided to bring up 'controversy'.

I would guess custom built ... or he drove a shaft through a vhs tape.

How much longer until Scott Cameron puts a "For Tour Use Only" badge on it and starts selling them for $300 a pop? ;-)

Is it 460cc or smaller? That's the question Tilghman should be asking right there.

From the pictures I've seen, it appears that it's thin metal, and the entire back is cut out. It's a sole place with walls in the front (the face) and on the sides for perimeter weighting. It's not a hollow box.

Yeah, I do. I was jut explaining the shape because it's hard to tell from some of the pictures.

All I can say is, Matt Every's footwork is EXACTLY what I'm trying to fix with my own swing. Crazy to see one of my swing flaws on the PGA Tour.

Yea that spin out is pretty extreme. Zach Johnson does it too, as well as a bunch of other pros, but you'll see that that doesn't happen until well after impact. At impact, they have a good amount of banking. Amateurs tend to start spinning that back foot out much, much earlier.

But how about Every's crazy jumping piece move? Love that one. He does it so much to the extreme that it's great to use that as an example to someone as how one jumps for power in the golf swing.
