You telling us you don't care for how he handles his personal life in light of this wasn't really needed.

Congrats to Tiger. His game is coming into shape just in time for the US Open. He's peaking perfectly.

Well, I did say I love his golf greatness.

And I was on the edge of my seat watching him and wanting greatness.

And I did say I got chills when he pitched in on 16.

All people have issues, some grow from them, others don't, and some are not aware of their issues - it's their life. I am glad to watch Tiger's golf greatness, and I wish him the best. Not that he cares. But I always wish the best for everyone.

That was a heckuva comeback. And to get the 73rd at Jack's place to tie Jack - wow.

I agree that Tiger has probably suffered enough for his personal mistakes, and whatever one may think of him personally is very much secondary to appreciating Tiger the golfer. I also think that the timing of calling him a douche after what he just did is classless at best.

That's how you get it done folks. Tiger now has won arnie and jacks tournaments this year. Both had solid fields and great moments. I would say tiger is stepping in to stride. 2012...the year of awesome golf.

At least now we won't have the controversy of tiger having to be a ryder cup captains pick. I'm glad to see more american players breaking in to the top of the owgr.

Can't we all just agree that today was an awesome day for Golf? Tiger looked like his old self out there and even his bad shot s were great.

But, Rickie Fowler? What the hell happened there? An 84? That is totally shocking for him. Rory McIlroy didn't make the cut  and I'm really surprised at how he is falling off lately.

Tying Jack at his own Tournament with that crazy flop shot and clutch play down the stretch on a very tough golf course...I couldn't imagine a better situation for his 73rd win.

He should enter next year's Wyndham, so he can get his 82nd win there.

The guy creates excitement in the game like no one else. Great that he's winning again. Golf is definitely more fun to watch when he's in the hunt.

Andfor those who complain about Tigers personality, at least I dont see him throwing his ex-friends under the bus like they have to him.

He may have fired them, but thats his right as the boss when he feels a change is needed. Haney and Williams have totally betrayed the trust of man who made them both filthy rich. Neither would be known outside the tour if not for Woods, yet I havent heard him say a single thing about them aside from "I think its dissapointing that a teacher would betrays his students trust like that. Nothing more. He hasnt trashed them. Woods is private, but he affords others the same privacy he expects.

I thought it was interesting when Nantz mentioned how in 2009 Tiger won every event he played before each major, and he's done the same so far this year. Not that it means anything for his future major chances, but just something I found interesting.

I just read this evening that Tiger was playing this tournament while he had the flu?   Geez, have to imagine how he would have done if he was 100% healthy!

2011 Goals:
* Improve club-head speed to 90 mph with the driver
* Ensure increased speed does not compromise accuracy
* Prevent overextending on the back-swing (left-arm is bending too much at the top)
* Relax arms initially at address ( too tense)* Play more full rounds (failed from 2010)

He might not have won. They say "beware the injured golfer" for a reason.

You see the part in the presser where he said he was hitting irons farther.  The guy asks him why that is and he says something like "Because I'm not scooping it anymore".. LOL  imagine what Haney and Butch think of that...

Why is everyone calling this a chip-in? That's not a chip shot.

Because it's not a "hole-out," and "pitch-in" and "flop-in" aren't widely used.

    • They describe it as a hydrophobic material so the fabric sheds water. Gore-tex is similar and breathable. It’s PTFE (Teflon).
    • How are they waterproof, breathable and handle sweat like a champ all at once?

    • Day 14:  I hit a bucket with my 7i and driver, didn’t hit my 7 well but my driver was good.  Played my first “real” 9 holes.  Sure, I had a few mulligans but I kept score.  Lost two balls in the water.  Had to chip from the edge of the water and did pretty good, just rolled too far past the hole.  Par was 33 and I wasn’t double but  I was closer to it than I would have liked.  I had a bogey on 9 so that ended it on a sweet note for me.
    • Day 134 - Had a tournament today, played poorly. Same as yesterday where the driving was great, but the second shots were awful. Need to dial that in tomorrow so I don’t finish DFL.
