Just read that James Gandolfini died of a massive heart attack in Italy, he was 51.   I thought he was a good actor, especially in The Soprano's.  I guess the Soprano's movie won't happen now unless the story takes place after his funeral based on the last scene of the series.  He was only 3 years older than me, which is pretty good motivation for me to watch my diet and not miss my workouts.

Major bummer. Always liked him in the roles he played.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Out at the range and just heard! Did not know he was ill. Oh, the widow maker heart attack... At least I had fair warning

I just found out from this thread! HORRIBLE!!!!!! So sad! Dunno what else to say. Man this sucks.

The place I grew up in Jersey is about a five minute walk from the "White Caps" house Tony Soprano bought for his family on the shore in Sea Bright, NJ. That town was devastated by Sandy too.

Very, very sad loss.

Very sad.... I was huge into The Soprano's and in my opinion he was one of top 5 actors of the last 15 years, a true artist. Really liked his character in Killing Them Softly as well. RIP big guy.

He was so good in that Sopranos episode, "College", one of my favorite tv episodes of all time. Also, "In the Loop" and a minor role in "Crimson Tide". RIP.
