I had this tough hole, PAR-3, 200 Yards and narrow green, no fairway. What club should I use on this hole? If I use 3 iron, it will never get there. Otherwise If I use 5 Wood, I'm little bit short, cause I hit 195 yards with 5 wood and will create too much ball rolls.

My driver swing speed is 95 MPH. Iron swing speed 80 MPH.

5 Wood: Mizuno MP-001
Iron: Mizuno MX-950 5-PW

If I was you I'd either hit the 5 wood and just go for a chip on, or take an easy driver and try and put that one. Or perhaps purchase a 3 wood?

Hit the club that leaves the easiest second shot, that's all you can do. My swing speed is maybe a little faster than yours when I'm warmed up, and I am an 11 hcp, to give you an idea of my accuracy. I know that hitting a 200 yard shot into a par 3 is going to be probably a 50-50 on hitting the green for me, so I try to play a shot that leaves the easiest second shot.

I have two 200 yard par 3s on my course, and on one of them you absolutely can't miss right with a pin-high shot, left pin high is dead about half the time, and never an easy up and down, and long is usually dead under low branches of pine trees. So, on this hole, depending how strong I'm feeling and the wind, I will hit a 5 or 6 iron, playing for front bunkers or 15 yards short of the green, taking my chances at par by leaving the easiest possible up and down, and insuring no worse than 4. Doubles and triples are easy on this hole from pin-high misses.

On the other 200 yarder, it's a huge green, with more room on the sides, and being short in a bunker is a very tough up and down, so I play it at full length and hit a 2,3 or 4 hybrid, depending how far I'm hitting it that day and the wind.

For you, with no fairway short, the best shot might actually be a 3 wood. With a 95 mph swing speed, a perfectly pured 3 wood for you probably goes 210-215 I'm guessing, and my sense is that it would put you on the back of the green or just over, which probably isn't bad. If the three wood is too much, you can just tee it lower and hit the three wood, or grip down an inch on the club to shorten the flight a little. But don't play a longer club unless there is less trouble long than short.

I've played a couple of these kinds of holes at tournaments and some muni's, and there are ways that I use to play them.

I'll either hit a soft 3 wood (which goes about 220-230) or hit a hard 3H (Around 200yds). I'd use the 3H if I needed to loft it in there.

I've been trying to use my 3I hybrid. It goes 200 yards, but I have a case of the pulls with that club. If I get it straightened out, I think its the perfect club for those shots.

Depends. The only 200 yard par 3 at my courses also happens to include a forced carry all the way to the green (a hundred foot-deep valley is in the way, with a creek at the bottom). Usually, I'll hit a 3 iron. On a good day, I'll try the 4. If the wind's in my face or I'm just not feeling it, I'll hit an easy 3 wood, because I've learned the hard way that my 3 iron doesn't carry that far.

Swing speed ~105 with the driver.

My course has six par three's of those 2 are 200 yards. They are both fairly flat, so without wind I'm using a 4 Hybrid.

5 with no wind, 4 with a little cross or head and try and work it into the wind. Also on the tee I try to hit down on it rather than sweep, and get good results. Might want to try a 2 iron, or get a hybrid.

if its playing 200yds i'll usually hit a 4-iron. tailwind i'll hit a 5-iron. headwind a 3-iron.

5-Iron usually, if I have wind with me I can hit a 6, wind against me probably a little bit of a lower 4-Iron.

I'll typically go with the five iron. But if I am really crushing the ball than I have to go with the six iron. I can absolutely crush my 5-iron when I'm on for some reason.

Change your signature. People like you are the reason people in america have a low opinion about your country. Dont quote someone on something so stupid and think you are going to get away with it just because someone famous said it.
