We have a house south of Jackson, WY and the views in that movie always take me back when we are sitting in Nevada.

I watched The Glass Onion and I thought it was good. Although Daniel Crag’s attempt at a southern accent got a little old. I’d still give it a birdie.

It’s actually a Cajun accent.

The name Benoit Blanc should have been enough of a clue.

I didn’t even waste my time on the first Avatar. I have zero desire to watch either of them.

Interesting. I wouldn't have thought that was Cajun. It didn't sound anything like accents I remember from when I was at Ft Polk and it doesn't sound anything like my Cajun neighbor.

The Menu, par.

I knew the gist of it, but I still liked the ending with the cheeseburger. Maybe knowing about it spoiled it a bit, but then again… it's not a movie I'm going to watch again. So, a par feels right.

Ok, that is hilarious. I kind of want them to make like a 90 minute short film now.

Shotgun Wedding with Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel, triple bogey. I went in expecting to just have a light rom-com in the background, and except for this scene… the movie stinks. We got just over halfway through it before we turned it off. Even in the background, it was terrible.

I also turned off You People, which I'm just giving a double bogey. I'm going to quote this from Letterboxd, which does a pretty good job of describing it…

Quote

An extremely cringeworthy shot at a topical, edgy comedy that forgets it has to actually be funny instead of solely sanctimonious, You People features Jonah Hill going against type and trying to play the “grounded”, woke, morally upstanding protagonist in what might be his official peak of self-obsession, which is already a high bar.

    • I think Adam Scott is one of the most skilled International players for Presidents Cup. Hes mothership 🙂  Nieman and Pereira have good chemistry what can help, i think everything is about chemistry in team. What u think? Deserved LIV players chance to go?   So and who of new US players u will take ? U think Theegala deserve a spot? 🙂
    • Hello TST, Some of you might have known I’ve bounced between all types of irons in my time on the site, blades, players irons, game-improvement, you name it I’ve played it. After some lessons I’ve found, it is not the club, but the player on the other end of it.    I’m a 7.0 Index. I’m currently playing the Tour Edge Exotics E722 irons 6-SW. Anyway my ball striking with my irons is much improved. I know where my ball is going for the most part. (Working at a golf course has its advantages). I’m seriously considering switching to a players distance iron this off season. I’m looking at 4-iron down, if the long irons are really forgiving maybe even a 3-iron. The reason I say players distance, is mainly because I’ve decided to leave my ego at the parking lot, I still need something forgiving on off center hits. I’m looking at the Mizuno Pro 225, Taylormade P790, Tour Edge C723, Titleist T200 and the Takomo T101.    So what are the pros of making this switch? And what are the potential cons?    All comments are appreciated.   Thanks.
    • Day 27: Worked on backswing using a Matt Wolff exaggeration feel - it helps with my tempo and inside takeaway. After a bunch of dry rehearsals, hit some balls. I don't think I would swing like this on course, but then again, I was hitting the ball well, at least with regards to start line and center face contact. I did not have Mevo+ to see if there was any extreme curve in either direction. I also didn't film/mirror vision, so it is probably not as extreme as it feels. Also did a fit for golf workout.
    • 5.0 is normally a soft regular more than it is a senior. That being said, I wouldn’t touch Project X with a 10 foot pole.    .355 Graphites are tricky because Mizuno and Srixon I know use the .355 taper tip. UST Mayima Recoil ESX is available in Senior Graphite with the .355, as well as the MMT,  Steelfiber i70, and the KBS Max 45. They are out there definitely. I played the Recoil SmacWrap in my Srixons and I loved them. I’m only going on 37, so I’m still in stiff. My 9-year-old daughter on the other hand probably would be (she hits the shit out of it).
    • Day 1, 9/20/22 I’M BACK. I played 27 holes today. Nothing to report really. I’ve decided that being “technical” really messes up my golf game. So Tony just has me focus on one thing at a time. He took a peek at my setup recently and noticed, I wasn’t holding my hands straight down, they were too flat. So I’m actually closer to the ball than one might expect. And it helps me stay in position. 12 greens in regulation today on the first 18 (where I kept score). The last nine was more or less just hitting shots.
