Made Coquilles Japanese style as a starter today. Served on a little bed of spicy seewead, and prepared with butter, salt, pepper, fried garlic and a little bit soya sauce. Pretty basic, but tastes very good!

Those look tasty, but why do you call them coquilles? Those are petoncles or scallops in English, it's the shell that is a coquille, hence the "Coquilles St. Jacques" were the seafood is baked in a big scallop shell. Either way, they look great!

Ah yes, scallops (I forgot the English word). In Dutch we call the shell 'Sint Jacobs schelpen' (St Jacques shells) and the seafood itself 'coquilles', hence my mistake.

Thanks btw!

BBQ up and running full tilt. Chicken drumsticks with dry rub followed up with a honey garlic sauce. Parboiled potatoes browned up in the grill with black truffle salt. Green beans poached in foil with garlic, ginger, olive oil and soy sauce. Grape tomatoes and cucumbers in olive oil and nice aged balsamic.

Nevets, did you make those at home or buy them? Either way, they look fantastic!

I wish I could make 'em this good. No steamed pork buns yet. These are my favorites, turnip cake and fish on peppers:

Love the turnip cake too!  Turnip cake and rice noodle roll with shrimp are the wifes favorites.

Never had the fish on peppers, but it looks tasty.
