He is so used to it it probably doesn't bother him.

It clearly bothered him.

By all accounts, he doesn't like playing overseas.

Hopefully his flight home doesn't have a layover at Charles de Gaulle.

I'm not a Bubba fan or hater, but it's amazing to me how he pretty much decides before each major whether or not he will be a factor.  He pretty much checked out of the U.S. Open and Open Championship before teeing it up.  That's pretty unfortunate because there's no reason his game shouldn't match up to just about every course in the world.

The leaderboard looks really strong after day one, and I hope it continues that way throughout the weekend.  I'm pulling for Sergio to break through and win a major, and if he doesn't get it done, Rickie Fowler is always a great choice!  It will be interesting to see if McIlroy can buck the trend of shooting a bad number on Friday after a great number on Thursday.

Pretty much my view also. Great players adapt, Bubba seems to have a small problem with that. With his talent, I would hope he will turn things around, and play those courses as best he can.

I'm hoping for Sergio to get up there too, but at around 7 under for the tourney...and the win.. :-D

Guy was good enough to qualify for the British Open but shot 90-Wonder if @GHIN0011458 is going to start thread about that.

"The expert golfer has maximum time to make minimal compensations. The poorer player has minimal time to make maximum compensations." - And no, I'm not Mac. Please do not PM me about it. I just think he is a crazy MFer and we could all use a little more crazy sometimes.

Okay, let's let that go. I think @GHIN0011458 was the only person suggesting that whole line of discussion, and it's two months old now.

But I'd be lying if I didn't notice the 90 and think similarly. :P Difference is I thought it only.

I couldn't believe the lack of energy and chemistry in the Ernie, Bubba, Phil group. That grouping was a poor one for all of them, I think.

Notice he pulled it together and finished with a string of pars. I thought that was pretty solid. He had to want to cut his own throat with a sand wedge....!

I didn't see anything today that would convince me that Tiger's gonna back up.... ....sadly. ;-) I think McIlroy and Scott stay strong, and Rose and Spieth make up a little ground too. I think it's gonna be a rock fight, and a helluva day! Agree. Cut feels like +1 or +2......and I say Tom Watson plays the weekend! :-)

Molinari brothers shoot identical scores again and play together both days of weekend. Have two brothers ever played well in same major?? Lead -7 (Adam Scott). Tiger -5. Rory -4. Large group at -3 through Even. Cut +3

Seems like Tiger and Rory will have to deal with some wind and rain in the afternoon. I'm predicting Adam Scott who's at -4 and playing in the morning will be in the lead at the end of tomorrow at -6. Tiger shoots 72 and Rory will shoot 74.
