Number 8 looks brutal 276 yard par 3. With just two par 5's and very long par 3's I don't think they are going to have the easy walk around Cherry Hills others do.

Everyone is just absolutely CRUSHING the ball so far. The driving average on the first couple holes for everyone has to be over 320. Something about that high altitude mumbo jumbo, I wasn't really paying attention.

Someone might shoot 59.

It would be interesting to see a summary of what club the pros are using there

Players play, tough players win!

My guess is everything from 3w to long irons. They don't all have Rory's length. I heard the guys calling it say they were hitting 6-7i on the 199 yard par 3 on the front and that the longer guys may use an 8. They seem kind of puzzled at times, I see shots landing short.

I'm curious, how do most instructors feel about the stall in between the backswing and downswing that a few players have. Chris Kirk and Hideki Matsuyama for example.

Webb +3. Mahan +5. Reed +6. Meanwhile, McIlroy, Kaymer and Rose are rolling. And people wonder why we are such big underdogs at the end of the month.

.... Well at least KJ Choi is playing well, amirite??!

Cherry Hills didn't give up much. The golf gaggle guys dang near equated it to a putt putt contest a day ago. Greens and roughl ooked brutal. Pooring rain tonight so could be different.

Anybody else dissapointed yesterday when they turned on the tournament and saw a standard east of the Mississippi looking park layout?? I'm well aware not all of CO is dramatic mountain vistas but I figured if they were going to move the tournament out there, then it was going to be for a beautiful mountain course. Of all the great courses in that state, seems like they could have chosen a better and more scenic course than one in the south suburbs of Denver.

No. But I've seen Cherry Hills before.

    • #4 - 1st hole at Kingsbarns I rolled in a 15 footer for birdie. Showed my caddie an old guy could still play a bit. #3 - 18th hole at Basin Harbor Club, Vergennes, VT. I had played matches against my nephew over the years. He had never beaten me although through the years he had become a long hitting teenage golfer. I was 1 up but bunkered near the 18th green. My nephew had a long putt for birdie. I splashed out of the bunker to 4 feet. He rolled his first putt close and I gave him the par. Sadly for him, I rolled mine in and won our last match. He went off to college and then Europe for a Ph. D. It was our last match. Family champion forever. #2 - First playoff hole in the City of Livonia, MI “65 & Over” division. I rolled in an 8 footer that broke about 4-5 inches. #10 Whispering Willows GC. #1  18th hole at TPC Prestancia, Sarasota, FL. A 4 foot slicing putt for par to beat the prior year’s Member/Guest winners and win the Member/Guest with my father at his club. I was having heart palpitations as I played the final hole solo when my father put two in the water. There was never a better golf sight for me when that ball dove into the hole.
    • Finally, wedges getting somewhere. This one a punch gap from 87 yards to about 12 feet. Contact and ball flight absolute restaurant quality. It's nice when grass comes back.
    • Tiger on the Today show today. At 3:25 he says he's working on keeping his arms in more and rotating his hips better. Nice.
    • Day 11- Slow,  short swings with short practice club.
