My first round tracked with GG and I'm pretty impressed with the system. The GPS tracking is very accurate and the one shot I forgot to tag was estimated very close to where I ended up.

As for the golf, it was a fairly typical round for me. 6 penalty strokes marred what could have been a really good round. My ball striking was on point....except when it wasn't. I hit 8 GIR's, which should have led to a better score, but a few blowups and zero up and downs (for par that is - I had a really nice up and down for bogey on hole 1) led to a ho hum 85. I'm looking forward to getting a lot of rounds under my belt on this thing.

My first time playing TPC Tampa Bay and it was a tough course!  The rough was pretty deep, enough to lose your ball even a few yards off the fairway.  The greens were really fast and really undulating. I've never played a course that tough before and it showed!  I will be playing it again though, especially at the rate I paid, $42 for a morning tee time!

Windy and hit the ball poorly off the tee. Approach shots were actually pretty good, as was the short game.

Solid round despite a couple of duck hooks, one of which led to triple bogey. But the swing changes seem to be going well.

Rounds from a 27 hole tournament yesterday. We finished 2nd in our flight, made a nice comeback with the alternate shot format.

Front nine was a two-man scramble, back nine was best ball. Had to take 3 drives from each player, the front we used my drives on 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8.

Last nine was Scotch where both players teed off and you took the best drive and alternated from there. Had to take at least 3 drives from each player. My drives were on 12, 13, 14, 17, and 18.

Yesterday, I played my best round to date with 9 over par (81). Especially very happy with my driver and with my putting.

Really windy today, supposed to be a big storm blowing in soon. I was unsure of my club selection on a number of shots and it showed. Also, not sure if it was the humidity or this chest cold I'm fighting, but I started getting short of breath around the 7th hole. Really struggled to stay focused after that. I actually hit the ball pretty well until that point.

Much better today. No wind at all, maybe a little breeze. I'm still not that good at playing elevation changes, but I'm learning.

+6, 42, 3500 yards, Rating 36.7, Slope 139

5 pars

2 doubles

2 bogeys

Hit some of the best irons shots I've had all year. Tee ball is still a bit too errant for me. Putting was blah.

Played my best round of golf in a long time!  Shot a 75 at The Wilds from the Purple tees (6449 yds).

I don't think I have ever had three birdies in a single round, and it easily could have been more.  I lipped out on 16 and 17 for birdies.  Unfortunately on 17 I missed the come-backer.

Highlights from the round include:

Hole 3 Par 3:  tee shot was just short of the green and in the rough.  Hit a bump and run 8 iron to the back pin that hit the flag and dropped for a 2!

Hole 6 Par 4:  Great sand save from the greenside bunker.  SW to about 10 feet and drained the putt.

Hole 8 Par 5:  Terrible drive that didn't even go 200 yards (I need to work on my full swing that is my priority going forward) then a great Hybrid and wedge to 18 feet and drained the birdie.

Hole 12 Par 5:  approach shot was a 6 iron from about 150 out.  I had a thick uphill lie in the rough with big bunkers guarding the front of the green.  Shot ended up pin high about 12 feet left and another birdie.

All in all, this was one of those rounds were I had nothing but a smile on face the entire day.  Great way to celebrate the B Day with my pops on the course.

This is only my second round with GAME Golf, and it has really been eye opening on how short I hit the ball.  I knew I was never a long hitter, the actual numbers are a little deflating.

With that being said I think it did help me club up more often, and in turn I had more shots get to the green.  More GIRs is always better!

Weather was perfect for golf and I played well. Managed to keep the stupid holes at a minimum, with a couple of exceptions. Play was slow and there was a wait on every tee and approach shots. I actually think it helped me slow down and play better.

Also, 31 putts? Who hijacked my GameGolf? ;-)

Played OK. Didn't have time to warm up so it took me some time to get some sort of key 4 and 5 control.

Pitching was fantastic. I averaged inside of 20 FT from 70 yards and in :)

Putting was pretty solid.

Did Game golf accidentally score your round on the wrong 9? I took a gander at your round and it has you making an eagle on a par 5 that looks like a par 3 and a few other holes looked a little goofy.
