I do not go to professional sporting events to watch the fans.  Only an a** would pay $50 to watch the people around him.  Or, wait, a 'social media' nutcase.

Yeah, the Blackhawks have moved on but in my day the Chicago Stadium seemed pretty wild with Stan Makita and Bobby Hull pushing the puck about.

Funny thing to argue about. I'm sure Tampa is just fine. Chicago has long been known for the atmosphere it creates for the Blackhawks. Sort of wish I'd had the chance to watch a game at the old Chicago Stadium, but that wasn't ever in the cards.

I think if you went to a game in Tampa, you'd change your mind instantly. An article actually just came out that Tampa is one of the best hockeytowns in the NHL, better than Chicago.

If it's one the best hockey-towns and has high attendance, why do they have a jersey ban for b-hawks stuff in certain sections?  If it's so great, they shouldn't care who attends or what they wear.  Chicago has proved they are a late scoring team, in terms of late in the series.  They peel apart these "great" goalies you speak of.  All they need to do to win is control the mid-zone.  I mean it'll be close every game, no doubt, but I think the B-hawks will come back in the next few games to take it.

Chicago might not be as big a hockey-town, but that's because there have been so many great Chicago sports teams in the last 20yrs.  It's really been the last 6 seasons or so that the Blackhawks have played great hockey, and Chicago is becoming more and more of a hockey-town because of it.

Things are looking more bleak for the Coyotes than normal. Maybe it's time to say that the whole desert hockey experiment has failed.

I'm not so sure, that'd result in 17 teams in the east and only 13 in the western conference wouldn't it?

They can always bounce someone over. They've done it plenty of times before.

Those sections were private club sections where Bolt fans pay a lot of $$$ to watch the game and having opponent fans in there isn't the best way to keep loyal customers and high paying season ticket holders in the arena.  I like that the Bolts are loyal to its customers that way.

Blackhawks win game 5, now lead 3 games to 2 games.  Next up Monday night in Chicago for game 6,( the final game of this series?)

Would love to go but standing room ticket about $1000, airfare $1500, lodging/food etc, $1500 = 100 rounds of golf.  Guess what?  I'm watching on TV.

Go Hawks !!

Despite tornados in Chicago prior to game, Madison Ave filled with Blackhawk fans who joyously watch the Lightning fail to score and the Hawks pot two goals.  As they skate around the arena with Stanley Cup lifted high, the Blackhawks fulfill their destiny.

A great series, a great total playoff by everyone.

It was definitely a solid, entertaining playoff and the Blackhawks deserved it.

But, it's a funny thing. Even after all these years, I still get a bit sulky when I see somebody else skating the Cup around.

Three Cups in six years is very impressive. Between Chicago and LA, that's five of the last six champions coming out of the west.

And I really, really hope this is the last time I see Edmonton picking first for a long while. Will Connor McDavid be the teams saviour? It would be nice, but there's still a lot of holes that need to be addressed. Also, if Lucic regains his form in LA( which he probably will, it's a contract year for him, no?) they could be scary.

Wow. I've been really out of touch for that last bit. Lucic is gone from Boston. Nice. Had enough of that guy.

Anybody else bothered by the fact that Chris Pronger's contract was traded this weekend and he was elected into the HHoF?
