They are pretty nice looking. Unfortunately, my current miss is a shank. I miss off the heel more. Maybe I just need to come OTT more to use these. :-D

Used to be a TM guy but have gone away from them.  They have too many products on the market and most of their "revolutionary" equipment are over marketed BS.  I am still waiting on that 350 yard drive since each driver I have bought from them over the years was supposed to add an additional 15-20 yards.

They look nicer from the back! I believe the technology works after speaking to a club pro today, at least with robot testing anyway, not sure if it would work in the hands of a high capper?

This might be my "real playing" clubs next year, I think it is the one that they hit the heel and toes shots with Iron Byron in one of the videos.

That's what I need. . .

Now I just need a driver that hits balls 280 yards with a 95mph swing.

Agree :yucky: ...they probably perform well though so no offense to anyone that likes them. Bag what you like!

I've heard the RS line will replace the majority of TM's iron line

RS1 - higher hc - replaces SpeedBlade

RS2 - low to mid - replaces SLDR and TP CB

RS3 - Tour   - replaces TP MC / MB when they are released in January.

If that's true then TM may have gotten back on track with iron lines by making it simple for consumers to figure out the right product for them.  It lines up very similar to Titleist and makes sense for a long term market approach imo.

I agree that they look really chunky, but I probably need them to play better golf.

EDIT: That is to say "I need what they say they can do" to play better golf.

[/quote] This is kind of funny. Not to go all off subject but I just got the speedblades and what exactly makes them for high handicap golfers? I will admit I went for blades but ended up getting these. Do folks just feel cool hitting blades? Is it because pros use them so it makes them feel closer to a pro? Don't go with the workability factor either because I can hook my speedblades as hard as my driver and slice them as much too. Not that I try to because I would rather shot my approaches straight most of the time but trust me I can hit a draw/hook with there that would make you say "wow". So what is it? FWIW I hit the SLDR irons and they felt terrible to me.

Many Pros don't use blades any more. I use them to learn to hit closer to the sweet spot, planning on switching out to someone like the TM RSI irons. I think I was waiting for something like this.

This was what the VP Marketing of TM stated on PGA Tour Radio, not my opinion.  On TM's site, they position the SLDR for lower handicap players than the SpeedBlade but no idea why.

Well, I tried them out at my local Golfsmith. They had a nice display setup for them. All clubs were using the PX6.0, and almost brand new premium balls. Rsi1, 3 swings even though the imprints don't seem to show it. Rsi2 was a little more away from the heel, but for some reason I was hitting them a little thin. Same swing as with the RSi1. 10 swings. The MC TP version felt the best, but I did not get any pictures of them as they were not the face slot model. It was a little surprising using a 7i for the demo. Guess this is the "mid-iron"?

I would try them if I hadn't just bought the s55's this summer. I probably still will try them, but not with intent to purchase.

    • This is an awesome breakdown. most of the bigger tournaments usually have one wave with the advantage, Thank you for the breakdown. If it is soft then it will be a lower final score
    • Over the past 15 years, the winning score has ranged from -10 to -20. Mostly around -13.  Here is Thursday and Friday weather. Saturday and Sunday weather. I think the course will play soft. Plenty of sky cover, lots of rain on Thursday. Fairways and greens will probably stay soft throughout the week.  In terms of tee times, I think Thursday morning and Friday afternoon have the biggest advantage. I am excited to see who can handle it and who cant. Last year we got a foreshadowing of JJ and Rory, I am excited for this year Who do people have winning? what will the winning score be? I am thinking 12 or 13 under
