Let me start by saying that I have always been a fan of the Steelers and Packers uniforms.  The have great style, color and are instantly recognizable.  But for God's sake, please burn the throwback uniforms.

The Steelers throwback looks like a colorblind 'Where's Waldo' outfit.

The Packer throwback looks like they got the jersey at an after Xmas sale at Walmart and had the helmets left over from a local High School team.

I hate them too.

It's cool in hockey. Not cool in football.

Pirates on sailing ships ships use to wear shirts like the old Steeler tops. The Steelers started out as the Pittsburg Pirates. There's that connection. The Packers throw back shirts were the norm way back when for most teams I think. They were originally known as the ACME Packers.

Me , I personally like them.  Breaks up monotony a little.

I think it was cool the first time they did it.  But that was it.  Wait another 10 years (or more) and then do it again, but stop doing it every year.  It's played out.

Except the Chargers ... by all means, wear the baby blues at least once every year.

I actually like the Packer throwback uniforms.  Better than the yellow and white anyway.

The packers one is the worst thing I've ever seen. They have skin colored pants. Why

I'm not a fan of the throwback uniforms either, I'd say limit them to special occasions only.

I think we should all stop complaining and look at the bright side: At least they haven't tried to do throw- forward jerseys yet.  Am I right???

I sort of like throwbacks, but the Steeler and Packer ones are two of the worst choices possible.

The thing is that good football shirts almost never change. My ole Bengals are an exception. I like the rare occasion when they go retro. Back before the faux Bengal strips, they had simple, clean, classic unis.

Occasionally, hockey screws it up. Remember the Habs sweaters with the thin red, white and blue horizontal lines. Looked like a bleeding rainbow. I also thought the Bruin shirts with the teddy bear on the front were pretty funny.

Agree, and I am a Bruins Fan. The Habs jersey is iconic.

    • Day 153: putted for a while using the 2 cups drill inside. Working on bead primarily. Contact was really good.
    • Day 8: 12/17/2024 Okay I took my new PPJ swing thought to the range today. I wasn't sure I was quite ready to do so, but I'm glad I did.  When I got it right it was good... really good. When I got it wrong it was a major fail. I hit lots of really ugly ones. But I didn't let that deter me. I stayed committed and focused on the PPJ and I avoided any temptation to go back to what I was doing before just so that I could "look" better at the range. I'm pretty excited about what I saw when I got it right.  I hit the 6 iron mostly (nearly all block work today). I also hit about 6 balls each with the PW, 8I, 5W and Driver. Those had varying degrees of success. I did crack one drive that let me feel and see what the changes will look like once I get fully trained.  Anyway, I'm going to go back to the mirror work for a couple of more days before bringing it back to the range. I do feel like if I can get this right my swing will improve a lot. So I think its worth the effort. I liked the way it looked on GEARs when I get it right, and I like the results I got at the range when I got it right. Now the goal is to work towards getting it right more often.
    • So I think it's that they can't just bend the shaft or hosel to get it to a new lie angle. They adjust that and it changes the weighting, so they have to then adjust all the weights to get it balanced again. I get the impression that it's a bit of an iterative process and they do it all in the US, so they're paying US labor costs to build it and make it work how it's supposed to. Whether you believe in the tech or not, I think that's a true statement.
    • Ah, the old EE in the backswing move. Chest going back and staying down doesn't help.
