Just wanted to check in on all my E-Friends in the path of this monster. How y'all holdin' out? We sent 75 snow clearing trucks and 180 trained personnel down to the Boston area to assist. Unfortunately the morons that run things sent them down last night, so for all I know, they may have got stuck in the blizzard somewhere along the way and never made it...

Anyways, hoping you all are OK. Post pics of the mayhem when you can.

Isn't winter fun? Yay.

We were predicted to get 18-24", then it stalled a bit last night and turned up the coast. Barely got 3" last night.

Mayor got an earful for not being prepared enough last time, he's gonna get an earful for over-preparing. All those supercomputers and prediction models got it wrong. Hopefully the trains and buses start up soon. Car ban lifted, Staten Island Ferry running. ASP suspended, meters in effect. PATH up @ 9:30.

[/quote]That's the nature of forecasting. You go with the most probable outcome based on the numbers, but sometimes you really do get 10 heads in a row.

Snow isn't too heavy, easy to shovel. MTA back up. It's gonna take a long time for the golf courses to open up. Not that I was using them. :-P

Sunny and 73 here in Dallas today; got a 10:50 tee time. My family in CT sending me pics. So glad I moved from there. Apologies for being the a-hole in the warm climate rubbing it in.

Just finished clearing over 2 feet from the driveway, and it's starting to come down again!!?? I'm in Connecticut. Is there anything golf-related that you do in weather like this when the roads are shut down?

1.  Practice putting and chipping indoors.  Practice priority piece in front of mirror.

2.  Watch TiVo recordings from last summer's tournaments.

3.  Think of what the Cape Cod course in my avatar must look like now.

What a joke. They shut down the airport at 3:00 PM yesterday, limited public transportation, cited multiple travel advisories, closed the schools and I didn't see any snow around here until close to midnight last night. We got about 3 inches between 3:00 AM and 8:00 AM this morning. Light fluffy stuff that wasn't even worth starting up the snow blower. Shovel took two of us 15 minutes.

I can't imagine how much this hoax has cost the economy in the mid-Atlantic region.

My brother and family were going to head back to Boston from Muscat, but the flights were cancelled and rebooked for 3 days later.. I'm sure the airlines weren't happy with this and never mind all the delayed people.
