Ouch!    Wait until Tiger aces it in his 60s, some 15 year earlier than Jack did.

Watched Bill Horschel on the range.  He putts with the heel up/toe down.

Very interesting.  I wonder it's because the greens are too fast?

The greens are not too fast. they are just have severe slope to them. If they ran at some of the US Open speeds then no ball would stay on the green.

The Masters absolutely has the best online access to actually watching the tournament. Watching some of the coverage today. I prefer watching it online than on TV.

Absolutely, I love being able to watch Amen Corner or 15 and 16 online.

It was said yesterday the greens going into this tournament are a lot slower than they were the last couple years. They had a lot of rain the other day, so it wouldn't surprise me to see someone go 64 or 65 before the day's over. Guys are making the turn at -3 and -4 and the back nine is very vulnerable after 12. If you don't go under par today, you have a big hill to climb. Even Tom Watson's a couple under.

My Vegas ticket is on DJ and Spieth. I still like DJ's chances the most. I'm looking for him to beat up these par-5s on the back nine today. Still think the softer the greens, the more I expect McIlroy to contend. I'm surprised he's off to a slow start today.

Anyone else have a choppy feed, like it's buffering? Our internet is 20 mbps download (just tested), which is way more than enough to stream this.

edit: They're using flash player for some absurd reason. So, that's probably contributing to it.

Nope... rock solid for me here on my desktop, hardwired to my cable modem, and I don't have anywhere near 20 mbps.  I set my laptop up in the kitchen on wi-fi and it was a bit choppy while it was downloading some windows updates, but once that was done the Masters feed was smooth.

Hoffman looking strong at -5. Had a feeling about him. Took him with my third choice. No chance he'll finish, but right now really solid.

Took -6 as the final winning score.  There better be a wind storm.

    • Day 72 - 2024-12-11 /sees a picture of Chet after shaving with a saw, goes back to doing a little mirror work at AMG.
    • Day 147: more mirror work. Trying to hone in the backswing stuff real nice.
    • If I was going to try to help someone fix a low snap hook without actually seeing their swing I would have to tell them to break down the problem into pieces. See if you can fix the "low" part of the problem first. A low ball flight tells me you are probably swinging level or hitting down on the ball instead of hitting up on it. Try teeing the ball higher than you are comfortable and put the ball up in your stance a little further up than comfortable...try putting it off your left heal or even the left toe. Try to feel like your club head is swinging up through impact. Try that first and see if it gets you to a high snap hook or a high pull hook.    If you want to address the hook part of the swing you are going to have to look at two areas of the swing as well as your concept of what the arms and hands do through impact. I love talking through this stuff with people but I'll only go into it further if you really want to go down that rabbit hole...you would have to say so. Swing well my friend!
    • Hello everyone! I haven't been on a golf forum in many years...since the old 4gea days if I remember right. Love to talk swing mechanics and hope to meet up for some range time and golf with others if possible. Been in Houston for a year now but haven't managed my way out on the course anywhere. I hope to change that in 2025. Hit 'em hard everybody!
    • Day 6: Worked with 6-iron, same stuff; neutral grip, centered turn. Feeling a bit lost right now, but have a lesson booked in about 10 days.
