Hey Horschel, tell us what you really think. Lol.

It's hard to take him seriously when every 4th word out of his mouth is "UHHHHH". "The greens were UHHHH, not that UHHHHH good today UHHHH.

Just reinforces what I already felt about him. "A little cheese to go with your whine?"

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Not sure I like Buck and Norman, but I have really enjoyed the supporting cast....bringing Gil Hanse on board a great move imo......Think Fox has done themselves well overall

He pissed and moaned about the greens. Said he's lost a little respect for the USGA and that it's not fair.

Horschel was overly critical about the conditions of the greens after his round. Also stated he lost respect for the USGA edit- CB1 and CB2 refer to the course setup where #18 plays as a par 4 or a par 5

I keep hearing (in this thread and elsewhere) that Chambers Bay is "unplayable" or "too difficult."  Are these people new to the US Open?  Because the leaders of this golf tournament are four under par.

Billy is a big baby What a spoiled brat Everyone is playing the same conditions Smashing his putter into the green showed his immaturity I hope he goes back and watches his reaction and learns something for it He wasn't good enough to win and I hope he doesn't again with that attitude I have enjoyed watching the challenging conditions

I like how BH said the greens made good putters average and not so good ones average. If greens are bad how do they make some better putters and others worse??

I typically like hearing when pros speak their minds but that was just dumb.

A little while ago Norman said (paraphrasing), "To be honest with you, he had a good night sleep last night."  He was referring to Day.

Now, I hate the phrase 'to be honest with you' in all occasions, but particularly from a professional broadcaster.  Having command of the language is important.  But secondly, why would he find the need to "be honest" with us over the fact that Day slept well?

Norman has been pretty disappointing.  He hasn't been very critical, and that's okay, but you can't combine that with being boring.  Faldo does a very nice job of not being overly critical but also being interesting and having a solid sense of humor.  Norman should mimic his style until he finds his own.

I think Buck has been fine.  He'll get better with experience.

The on course reporters (seemingly selected from PGA 94 for Sega Genesis) have been kind of shitty.  Corey Pavin is terrible.

I believe the stammering was a result of the beautiful breasts a mere few feet away.

Socialists will love this golf course.  disarm and equalize. plus save water for the environment. less chemicals. less fuel for mowers.  all courses should be like this. easier to get a starting time. Horschel will lose fans for whining about USGA which should go the route of the NCAA plus a possible fine. The roster has been spoiled and pampered and now they're on a track with greens like many publix linksers face. Our greens have 4 kinds of grass and every turf disease known to man.  But we pay and play. fortunately we don't have 60 yard run offs.

I think he wanted to distinguish it from all the times he's lied to us about Day's sleep patterns.

    • Yes. If you choose to take the ball out of the bunker instead of taking maximum available relief… it costs a stroke.
    • I got another one today....Number 17. Par 5 that has water left and right on the layup. I smacked a drive down the left side and got a little lazy on the layup and fanned my 6 iron. With 112 to a crowned green I got it to 3 feet and birdie!  Only 5 and 15 is left for this year!
    • Maybe I didn’t explain this properly. Back and front can be confusing.  There was no place in the bunker that didn’t have 2-3 inches of rain water in it, except for a small spot on the slope nearest the pin. If I had dropped there I would be moving 6-7 feet closer to the hole. Since my ball was just inside the bunker, farthest side from the hole, I dropped one club length backward, which brought me out of the bunker. I could not have hit from that deep of water. Are you saying I would have had to take a penalty stroke due to rain water?
    • Day 550, May 5, 2024 Got a good hour in with a typical (for me) two-stick setup: pool noodle angled in front, yardstick on the ground angled 45° behind me.
    • Day 130: Cinco de Mayo Day 7/24 of Full Speed Spectrum training. Difficult training day after struggling to certify my warmup yesterday, and today. Finished 13 mph lower than my training speed on Thursday. Hope to hit some balls today.
