Uhhh, your last sentence is unnecessary. He's not going to post -8 for six holes. Par on 13, water on 14…

I know. But... I'll take what I can get.

Tiger is -3 through 3 on the back (E on front), E for the tournament. So if he can just play the remaining six holes in -8 or so, he can post a number to really make the leaders think.

Alternately, whatever he produces might be too little too late, at least for this tournament.

Hate to break it to you, but he just tripled. I guess that sums up the year for Tiger so far since Augusta. Everytime you think he's taking steps forward, he takes steps back.

Did Chamblee just say that Bill Haas hasn't had his moment in a big event?

I'm not sure if Bill Haas or the PGA Tour (via the FedExCup) should be more offended.

He was probably referring to majors. Haas has appeared in 50 major championships/Players Championships and has not posted one top-10. That's pretty incredible. The Fed Ex Cup win was big, but I think any player that's already rich (which is most of these guys) would tell you they'd rather have a major championship over a Fed Ex Cup trophy any day of the week.

Did you know that Hideki Matsuyama was born in Matsuyama, Japan? That is great.

I think Ryo Ishikawa will win.

Chris Kirk. Kid's due for a bigger win.

Still wondering which of these guys sabotaged Rory's putter. He should be about 10 strokes ahead. Unreal.

I'm not sure, but I think it was the Monstars from Space Jam.

I do think Kirk of all the boring no namers is gonna win. Think this will take Kirk off the no namers list today. He is boring, but very impressive game.

Yeah Kirk is pretty solid. I'd prefer to see Thomas win but I'd be wonderfully delighted to see Rory Sabbatini just fall apart miserably.

Pat Perez has his own style, real California with the hair, looks cool.

Rickie looked better with the long hair too.

Charley Hoffman, no.

I'm down to a 10 handicap. At this rate, I'll get to scratch at 90 years old!

I don't know about that. Cool is definitely not one of the first words that come to mind. The word I would use is probably something similar to what many people think of his personality.

Wow ....Adam Scott just needs to start all over with his silly putting game. Ditch the ridiculous 10ft putter and just putt the damn ball. 3 putt from 3ft. Wow.

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
