I voted above, but the number an hour ago was 37. Now it's 34. Maybe I should make it closer to 16-18 by the end of tonight… I think my wife (and the Salvation Army) would like that.

I've got three currently.  I donate used pair of shoes in good condition.  I may get another Motion for this summer.

None yet - but as soon as they get the new Lyt Breathe shoes out on the market, I'll have at least one pair for sure.  Been waiting for weeks for them to be released!

I'm not sure I understand.

Those are the 2015 models. More may come in the fall, but that's what they have.

Actually, I guess I read the year wrong (duh!), they were released 5/1/14 (not 5/1/15 - again, duh!).  I like very light, minimalist golf shoes and the Lyt // Breathe looked like it fit the bill perfectly.  They were billed as the "perfect summer golf shoe", and since it's summer about 9 months out of the year here in the desert, it looked like a real winner.  Guess I'll recalibrate my calendar and check out the 2015 line. :-)

[ETA:] After reading the other True thread and looking at the 2015 models, it looks like they're moving away from the minimalist/zero drop shoes (the one exception seeming to be the Motion).  Now I wish I had bought a pair of Senseis or Lyts over the last couple years, because I really prefer the minimalist shoes and I'm not totally digging the Motion models they're offering this year.

2 pair of tours

1 pair of gents

1 pair of sensei

1 pair of stealths (original)

1 pair of rebels

That's 9; I used to have another pair of the original tours and another pair of the sensei.

I got one pair bought on sale, $100, at PGA store in Naples, FL last December. They're good but rubber along sole edge won't last forever, that i can see.  Comfy enough but had to go to size 14 to get into the shoe.  The heel flap with Velcro is weird. I'll try for wider next time but now i alternate with old FootJoys normal leather shoes. Both pairs serve.

Name this person: best known for her collection of some three thousand pairs of shoes (but not one TRUE).

11 and when those are done I am moving on. Then only 2015 shoe I would consider is the Oxford. Unless I am wrong it's the only one in the new line with lugs that don't extend beyond the outer sole. What I liked about TRUE was the street shoe look and feel. My Gent's are my dress shoes. I don't see anything in the 2015's that could do double duty.

I don't own any, but I love my ecco's and will get another pair.. TBH I'm not even sure where to even try True's at, truth be told I looked for them before buying my ecco's last year. Oh well, as long as I'm comfortable right?

None. Any shoe that is not Adidas feels uncomfortable on my feet. Can I ask why you have so many pairs? What is the point of having all those shoes? I can see having two pairs, but that's about it.

Not sure if @tmac20 is talking to me but the cool thing about the older TRUE's was they could be anything not just golf shoes. I do the same thing with pants and shirts, buy stuff that can be used every day that isn't obviously golf clothes. If I have to go to a meeting with a banker or attend a funeral I will be wearing TRUE Gent's and Slazenger pants that look like dress slacks and a non-logo performance polo. Just about everything in my closet can be worn on and off the course. There is a convenience factor and I don't buy clothes with limited uses. I wear golf clothes most every day, the exception would be if I am painting or doing yard work and of course the shoes are comfortable.

Agree with this. I have 4 pairs of "golf" slack that do double duty as business casual. I also have to performance polos that are black with some horizontal pin striping, also very much in place for business casual. The obvious advantage is that when I have a late morning meeting I can sometimes sneak in a quick nine before the meeting and walk right off the course and into the meeting with no one the wiser. Gotta change shoes though, my True Tours would give me away instantly. :-P

My answer was zero and since you asked...I really do not like the shoes.  To you, they may be the "best golf shoes on the market" but to me they are uncomfortable and I simply do not like the style.  To each his own.

    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
