Excellent job by Team USA. But France 2018 is going to be tough-very difficult, European style course and the weather won't be great either.

Darren Clarke on telly looking very jolly and upbeat-obviously been on a big jolly. That's why be brought along his drinking pal Westwood.

I like Darren Clarke and would rather have a beer with him than Davis Love.

Absolutely. But maybe that doesn't make a better captain. To be fair, we wouldn't have won no matter the captain.

The task force was a success.

And Darren Clarke was a bit too safe and rather too nice to be European captain.

Lee Westwood? The inevitable story of his Ryder Cup wrote itself.

Having Reed play Rory is a bad matchup decision by Davis. Rory would beat anyone, and Reed would beat everyone else.

Instead, it's like giving ERO 2 points today, taking away a sure point by Reed. A point for team US may end up being the difference between a Win or Loss today. Sometimes it's best to sacrifice a point rather than takeaway a sure point.

Oops. :-)

I'm rooting for Rory in the first match over 6-year old Patrick Reed. I'll root for USA in the other 11.

One final note...it's fine to get fired up and excited after a putt or shot, but it's another thing to act like Patrick Reed has. I can't stand it.

He's fine. Sorry you don't like to see emotion.

I think they are all acting like highly competitive athletes competing in a team format at the highest level. It's an absolute embarrassment.  :-P

Bingo. I agree.

Reeds excitement is fake. Rorys comes right out at moment it happens. Reed just does it to get crowd going.

You don't know that at all.

Don't agree.  I don't know this for sure but I would bet hole-for-hole, Reed has scored better than Rory through the 1st 2 days, especially in that afternoon match yesterday.  Wasn't Reed like 10-under?

I think Reed will take him down and stop the comeback attempt early.

Reed was the better player all weekend, Rory got the hype but he also got carried yesterday.  Always liked him but celebrating 3-footers like an idiot is ridiculous.  He lost some respect in my eyes this weekend.

And, c'mon dude, put ur hat back on.  70's calling, Joanie Cunningham, anyone?

A comment and a question:

1.  Tiger's beard looks awesome.

2.  WTF is that thing around PReed's neck that he keeps putting in his mouth during his warm-ups?  Is it a new form of nicotine or something?  That threw me for a loop all weekend.

Danny Willett got his ass handed to him. A little present for his brother I suppose.

Danny "One Hit" Willett.  RIch Beem, Shaun Micheel?

I had the same question regarding Reed's thinga-ma-bob. My first impression was that it was a pacifier. Lol. Just kidding, Reed was spectacular the whole way. Full props.

I really hope more golf fans start embracing Reed; the dude is a serious gamer and I really don't think he's nearly as bad of a guy as people like to think. He made a stupid comment three years ago (I can only imagine the dumb stuff I would have said as a rich and hugely talented 23 year old) but I think it's time people move on from that.

I think you are correct on this somewhat but his dumb stuff was far reached into his high school and college behavior. I think he has grown up a bit and humbled a little but not much. You just can't argue with his success and his mental attitude and behavior has gotten him where he is regardless of the past. I personally don't know him but like his confidence and drive.

Reed always wears a choker necklace. Some sort of rope and bead thing if I remember correctly.

Reed made some arrogant comments when he first got on Tour about him being Top 5 and how he feels it's appropriate for him to wear Tigers colors on Sunday.  Those comments early in his career led to additional research into his past where it was reported he was not well liked on his college golf team and that some of his team mates and his former coach had concerns that he didn't always play by the rules.

I'm pretty confident most people will forget the past after his performance this weekend in the Ryder Cup, he's changed my opinion of him.  Phil and Reed did Callaway proud.

Yes, I know that.  Why does he put it in his mouth during warm-ups?  It looks like it's attached to his headphones where he's listening to Aloe Blacc's "I'm the Man".  Does hearing it through your teeth help the acoustics or really make you think you're the man?

Patrick Reed can say this much for sure without sounding arrogant in the slightest bit - this was the top 5 greatest performance in the history of RC..

Anything one can say about him taking down Rory today at his peak will sound like an understatement. What a stout hearted performance!

Danny "One Hit" Willett.

That's incredibly puerile. He turned up amongst his peers, showed willing, and got beaten in matchplay. No shame in that.

How many Majors  Sunday club competitions have you won with your 30 handicap?

Until DWil wins another (which I also doubt he'll do), it's not puerile to refer to him as a one-hit wonder.  Maybe a premature evaluation but certainly not puerile after 6 months of shit  performance from Augusta.

Guess Sergio the no-hit wonder did well to halve with Phil, then.

Look, I know this is dragging this off-topic, so I'll say this and then I'll stfu. I don't like seeing a "one hit wonder" tag applied to golfers who have won a major. The term comes from the music industry, where plenty of completely talentless, tuneless, vapid, soon-forgotten idiots have had a No 1 hit by virtue of marketing, autotune and slick production. I don't believe any golfer who has won a major is a "one hit wonder." If Mr. Willett never wins another golf tournament in his life, well, he still won a green jacket in 2016.
